I got a loan from Atlanta Title Loan November 2008 for $1200 to pay my rent. Before signing any papers, I was told first payment would go towards interest and every payment after that would go towards my loan, so I signed the contract (little did I know everything said to me would turn out to be a big LIE). After 6 months of payments, I decided to call and request my balance, to my surprise I was told my balance was still over $1000.00 dollars.
Shocked I asked the agent how this could be possible; he told me that the first 3 payments went towards interest - then struggled to explain what happened to the other 3 payments (which made no sense at all). I demanded a full detail and explanation of payments made, the agent said he would have the General Manager call me back in 45 minutes and sad to say it but it has been 2 hours and no return phone call. I have advised the company I would seek legal counsel because I am being ripped off. I would advise anyone who is strapped for money to never seek help from Atlanta Title Loan, do your research and never trust anyone you cannot understand.
