A.T.B. Financial Services SCAM!! Sounds and Looks Too Good to Be True, Unfortunately its not real!! Sydney, Nova Scotia Nova Scotia Canada

Today, November 12,2008. I received a letter with no return address. I opened it to find a check for $4800.00 and a letter from a company called A.T.B financial Services.The address on the letter was from a James Henderson informing me that I had won $485,000.00, as a 2nd place winner in a USA mega international sweepstakes drawing, that took place in March.

This letter claimed that I would receive the certified check for the $485,000.00, but only after calling the the claims agent John Miller. The letter stated that the check for $4800.00 was to pay the taxes and that it is payable to the tax agent Samuel Gomez, by money gram in the amount of $3850.00. The address of the tax agent was 110 Sun Valley, Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada B6G2T4.

I have not called to follow thru with the instructions. I found this website and have read reports of others who received the same letter. With so many of the same letters around, I know it cannot be true.

It is scams like this that have changed how I look at the world. I am more wary of the people that call, email and mail me and my family. I am also more carefull about buying online.

I am glad to have finally come across a website like this one. I wish there was a way to stop companies like this one from scamming people. Our economy is hurting enough already and people are struggling now more than ever. It is sad that people know this and still prey on those who may be struggling. To me it is just plain wrong.
