ATK of north america Purchased longblock motor thru Orielly's auto parts=installed and failed after 41/2 miles ATK of north america=Grand Prairie, Texas

 We own and operate a service company, which we have our own repair shop due to large # of trucks.

Normally we repair and rebuild our own motors if there are any failures.

Due to being so overlogged with service at this time, we decided to purchase a long block for Oreilly's auto

parts and swap the block out. We paid and ordered the engine, and truck was prepaired for new installation

by cleaning, new injectors, elec. Regulators and all sensors and plugs and wires, including coolant and A/c.

installed new motor per manufactor torgue's and sealants and lubes. Motor was pre-oiled with a pump rod prior to distributor install.  Started motor and run, set timing and checked for leaks. Drove truck 4-1/2miles and heard a thug noise and turned around. found #8cyl. at 12 psi pressure? Sent motor back and they claimed there is a sticky residue in #8cly.?=No other cyl's? why? Why no problem before? why no issue with new motor it now has? Poor workmenship!!! they are comming up with a easy excape goat! Will never purchase another motor for any company affiliated with this one!

note: Shop personnel are highly qualified for motor rebuild and trouble shooting numerous issues, and have worked in machine shops for many years.

They pullled the head on this motor and found there piston and ring assembly failed before they shipped back to ATK thru-Oreilly's auto. It is ad that there are still compainies out there ripping off and not standing behind there work"! our company stand behind all our work 100% no matter what or who's at fault.
