Atlantic Coast Mortgage RIPOFF LIED Columbia South Carolina

We have a modular home, with 2 mortgages. We were looking to refinance those into one payment. We called Atlantic Coast because we had saw it listed in our local newspaper. Our first mistake !!!!!

They took all the information, and said we would never have to put money down at any time. After they got the information from us, we didn't hear anything for a week. Several weeks went by and nothing. We began calling everyday to find out what was going on with our paperwork. The first excuse we got was the loan officer wasn't in, then he called us 3 weeks later to say he had been in an automobile accident. Ok fine,, so then we started asking about our appraisal and when this would take place. All the mean while they told us not to make our current mortgages because we would be closing any day now.

Up front they also promised a lower interest rate, which he never told us what that would be either. Also 2 1/2 months had passed, and we finally got the appraisal, then we ask for a copy, and no one seemed to know where it was. After 3 months of this shenanigan, we never got any copies of anything, and the day we go to close, they said they couldn't because they never got our pay offs on our previous mortgages, and they wanted
$ 3,000.00 to close, after promising no up front money, then they wanted to charge a ridiculous interest rate, then they told us at the closing, they needed more money, because we didn't have enough equity. We never closed, So we left and didnt sign anything, and told them basically where to go......after 4 months of bull crap.....

THIS COMPANY SUCKS DO NOT USE THEM !!!!!
