Atlantic Financial - Pro Car Auto Group Rip Off Financing Massillon Ohio

Bought a car at Pro Car Auto Group in Wooster, Oh. & financed it through Atlantic Financial in Massillon, Oh. Had no problems, 2 yrs later we filed bankruptcy but still wanted to keep the car & add a truck to our loan. That's where the problems began! Atlantic Finacial had us go into Pro Car to "combine" the payments & sign paper work. We were told by Pro Car that our combined payments would be $82.00 per week. That was fine with us. We started paying 82.00 per week faithfully.

Next thing we know, we get a call from Atlantic Financial telling us we had to take in $300 because the payment schedule was off a little from waiting for us to sign papers. We paid the $300. I asked Pro Car, where we made our payments if our payments we combined & we asked serveral times, every time the answer was always "Yes, Your Payments are combined".

In Nov, we signed papers in July, Atlantic Financial called us & told us we were $800 behind on our car payment & if we didn't pay, they were coming to get the car. They said our payments were never combined & that they weren't allowed to contact us until after the bankruptcy went through...which it was finalized in Sept.

Needless to say, they repoed our car & we still owed over $3000 for it. We paid monthly payments on our repoed car for almost a year until they mailed us a letter stating we still owed $3100 on it. To our calculations we only owed $3200 from the time of repo. After a years worth of payments per month, we owed less than $2000. They claimed they only had 1/2 a years payments & couldn't find where we had made any more payments than 6. Their billing dept. is all screwed up & thank God I kept the cancelled checks!

We are now planning on Atlantic Financial taking us to court...because we have stopped making payments, & we plan to show the judge all the screwed up bills they sent us, the cancelled checks, & how they diverted us into thinking our payments were combined. They had even changed our account number 4 different times!
