Atlantic Lottery Corporation Lottery Scam Ripoff Moncton New Brunswick

I received a letter in the mail from the Atlantic Lottery Corporation stating that I had won a prize in their 2007 Promotional Sweepstakes Lottery held on January 30th, 2007 in the 2nd category.

A ticket with the winning numbers attached to my name was drawen.
I was one of 6 winners of jackpot prize of $1,572,000.00
My winnings of this was $262,000.00.
I was sent a check for $4,922.00 in which I was to pay $3,985.00 for taxes on my winnings.
I was to contact my claim agent a Mrs. Evelyn Richards at 1-902-412-9184 for instructions on how to wire the taxes. I was to use the Moneygram Wiring Facility at our local Wal-Mart.

I researched this company and found that it is a true company in Canada.
The Atlantic Lottery Corporation's website has a warning of US residents about this scam. This is how I found out it was a scam before I put the check into my account.
