Yesterday, I received via Snail Mail, a letter congratulating me on my new position as a Customer Service Evaluation, representative. I have inquired about this sort of work before, as I would love to do data entry or a position that I could easily do from home. So I was very excited...until...

I have to admit the letter looked very official, as did the $2850.55 check. There were a few discrepancies...typos, so to speak, but everything else looked very authentic as it offered me:

$400.00 for 2 hros of personal training
$100.00 for Sears of the Gap
$100.00 for Wal-Mart
(All of the purchases were mine to keep, with completion of the survey form provided)
$2100.00 for Money Gram to be sent to another representative in Canada
$150.55 for Service Charge by Money Gram
For a total of:
$2850.55

But there was no 'position' under the 'Yours Truly' signature, and none of the trademarks at the bottom of the page showed as patented. They did provide a name and number for me to call for further instruction..so that looked promising also.

These are desperate times, and I so wanted to believe that this was a way to help my family vs. a scam ripping off innocent people. But it was through the help of a dear friend that I was made aware of Ripoff Report. While it is sad that a site like this is necessary, I am so thankful that it is available to people like me. You have saved me what could have been thousands!! I am shredding the correspondence as soon as I finish this.

I am sorry to hear of those that have been taken advantage, and it will stay in my thoughts and prayers that what has been taken you from you will be quickly returned.
