Following on a visit to the AT&T store at Turtle Creek in Knoxville to purchase an Iphone the young blond haired girl about a week before Christmas informed us that the first criteria we were looking for in a new phone in terms of a "GPS navigation tool" was to be found in the Iphone. This was the first and most important key feature in what we were looking for in a phone. She further assured us that initiating phone service was easy over the internet and that transferring numbers from the razor to the Iphone was equally as easy. Furthermore, she asserted that should there be "any problem" simply bring it in to the store and they would take care of the above for us.

First and in fairness,we were able to initiate service over the internet without too much difficulty. Transferring numbers, however, was more of a challenge. When we were not able to accomplish this on our own we brought both the razor and the iphone back into the store only to be informed that the young lady was not in today but further they could not help us as their computers were not configured to do this. Additionally, she shoud not have offered the stores help in servicing these activities. They handed me further directions which proved equally useless back at home which prompted me to bring my laptop to the store with the statement these easy to follow instructions were now in their hands. After repeated attempts by their asst mgr and another gentlemen, they gave up themselves on my computer and asked if I could find an Apple store to possibly get some help. In their attempts they also wiped out many of the numbers on the razor we were trying to transfer over. Frustrated we never got to ask how to switch on the GPS the young lady assurred us was part of the new Iphone.

Having given up on transferring the numbers later that night and manually inputting them I decided to call Apple directly on how to deal with the GPS only to be informed that the Iphone does not in fact have GPS as part of its mapping and navigation tools. The Apple gentleman apologized we were mislead by the AT&T sales lady as this was as you recall the primary reason we purchased this phone based on what the young lady assurred us as being the truth. Needless to say, misleading sales representation, cavalier assurances of ease in transferring numbers and laughingly glad when you leave the store unabashed in having not to deal with promises made in moving stock seem to be nameplate modes of operation at the AT&T Turkey Creek store. Oh! They did apologize if we believed her....
