I got the AT&T TV and Internet bundle when I moved to a new place, just to check it out rather than using Comcast. The agent who took my order mentioned the following for me:

- 1 yr contract

- 100 dollars all inclusive (tv with all movie channels for 1 yr and internet)

- 2 nos $100 reward cards

 

I agreed; took the service and on the day of installation came the 1st surprise. The installing engineer mentioned that I dont get HD service and I am also signed up for the lowest of the packages. Talked to AT&T and some "manager" said that the only way to get it is if I upgrade their service to U450 and that she will give a "manager" discount to bring my cost to $100. So far so good.

 

One month went on and I received a bill for $225. Customer Support again and after another long discussion, someone found that the note was buried under all the info and reverted the billing amount. Got the service back to $100 per month.

 

Now, I've been following up for the reward cards and each time I get a response that I would receive them in 1 week or so. It went on and on and on and finally when I stressed that I need a final answer (in Mar 2015), another "Manager" said that the rewards need to be claimed within 4 months and since the 4 months are gone, I am no longer eligible for rewards.

 

Naturally, I got pissed off and wanted to cancel the service right then. Called up cancelation department and they agreed that I been played around. Now, she saw that I was to be given only ONE rewards, not TWO as was promised to me. She did offer to give a credit towards next month bill but I wanted nothing from AT&T at this point. Told her that polietly and I just can't wait to get out of this service. 2 More months and I am out of here.

 

Never again AT&T; absolutely never again. Of course, you do not loose anything because of 1 customer but I did realize how much of a crappy company you are. I would be glad to get out of your service and would never take anything even remotely called AT&T. 

 

A company filled with liars, cheaters..some valid folks like the cancelation agent should move to a better company so that they can retain their honesty.
