Purchased a scooter online form atvdiscounter.com on May 24, 2008. I received an email stating it would take 7-10 business days to ship. I paid with a credit card and payment went through asap. After about 5 days or so I looked up the site to get a tracking number. Nothing had changed since I bought it? So, I called the shipping dept. just to check. No answer at all. I tried all day and all I got was an answering machine so I start getting worried. I left messages and emailed them, but got no response. I call another number and talk to some guy named Doug who said "I can't help you" and sent me back to the "shipping dept." answering machine. I look this bunch up online and see tons of people complaining about everything from it taking at least a month to receive the product (after it was "supposed" to ship in 7-10 days) from never receiving the title, to the stuff falling apart but no one would help even though it was under warranty. So, I start getting really nervous at that point. I called the billing dept and get Samantha and she said it would be on the truck in the next few days. A week goes by and still not on the truck. So, Dustin in shipping tells me it takes at least 15 business days to ship (that changes depending on who you talk to and what day it is). I said can you find out when mine will be put on the truck? "No." But, your in shipping right? "Yes, but I only get updated once a week." What, huh?? Bottom line is they are at worst a scam artist, or at best a business that could care less about their customers. Once they have your money, they don't care what you think or what problem you have. One guy, Steve, said "look you're not my customer, I didn't make a commission off you so...." So what Steve? You work for the company! Finally spoke with Kelly in shipping, who's the "boss" I guess and she screamed at me like I was a red headed step child. She was a real pleasure to deal with (I imagined someone like Rosanne Barr on the other end of the line). I would have rather her 1. hung up on me or 2. put me on hold for 30 minutes at a time like everyone else. She said "you better believe we are going to fight this." By the way, try canceling and they will charge you another $75.

I'm trying to nip this thing in the bud and set up a dispute with Visa to go ahead and get my money back.

Take it from me and countless others....avoid these people. Don't bring the heartache on yourself.

BTW, this would be a great media story. They are probably importing these things and that's why they can't really tell you what's going on
