I contracted Tony and his crew to do some deck work for me and it was a terrible experience. Of course he was nice and friendly at first but they dropped the ball pretty quick. They would come and go durring the day and not much work seemed to get done. In the middle of the project they just wouldn't show up for multiple days at a time. They work they did was of poor quality. I finally asked him stop and return my money since the project was not goin to my satisfaction. Of course I never saw any money come back and I had to hire a real contractor to finish the job. The whole situation cost me about $3,500 more than it should have because I was dumb enough to get AU Contractors involed in the first place. Don't ever use these guys for anything. There are so many other contractors in Wilmington that deserve the work, not AU.

I am extremely appalled at the May 16, 2014 report about AU Contractors. I have been a homeowner for 15 years and have hired and highly recommended them for over 10 years.
They arrive on time and stay at the job until the day's work is finished. One who is not a contractor would not know if work seems to not get done or not. If you want something done right, it will take time.
If AU Contractors could not come to my house due to materials not arriving on time, weather, or any other reason, I was notified.
Their work is of the upmost quality, as expected from a very experienced and talented contractor and crew.
As for a "real" contractor, Antonio Uzcategui is such. He is professional, has been in business for 14 years, is fair, and honest. His work ethic is excellent, as well as his crew. The fact that he is hired due to word of mouth should say it all.
