Audi Usa - Braman Audi Of West Palm Beach Holding Car Hostage West Palm Beach Florida

Hello, I gave my car to a mechanic who was recommended to me; who fixes cars at his house. After paying him $1200 for services he said he performed. He then without my permission had my car towed to Braman Audi of West Palm Beach. I called Braman Audi and spoke to a service advisor ( Drew Suede) who told me that the bill is $3600 and the car will be ready in two days and that the person (Greg Boone) who dropped off the car authorized the work and left a blank check for the $3600. I told Drew the service adviser not to do any work on the car, that I didn't believe that the check would be good, because why would Greg who I hardly know pay to have the car fixed. Even though I have Greg Boone on my voice mail telling me that he will pay it. The service adviser insisted on doing the work even though I told him Greg does not own the car, I own the car and I do not give authorization to Braman Audi to touch my car in any way or perform work.

Two days later Drew now says he forgot about the towing and tax and the bill is now $3950, and of course the blank check was no good. Greg Boone's phone number is now disconnected, although I do have his home address where I dropped the car off. Braman Audi told me unless I pay the bill in full they will put a lien on my car in thirty days, and it will go to auction. I called Audi USA and they nor Braman Audi will not even compromise one little drop on the bill. Thanks for your time, and hopefully your help!
