We hired this collection Agency, August Investments, Inc., to collect on our behalf from custmers that have not paid us. They collected money from our clients and never gave us the promised 80% of monies collected. Not only that, they collected money from us to file suit against deadbeat clients and kept that money, as well, and never put in the claim for the US District court.
August Investments have been reported before for this same scam, but I failed to read up on them, before hiring them.
Please beware of this type scam & check out any collections agency BEFORE hiring them to collect on your behalf!
Filing a suit against them for this with the DA will not work, as it is a civil matter...I tried. They get you to sign a contract for collecting on your behalf, so it is no longer considered theft.
This company will probably rebuttle this...I fell for all the same lies as the person before me, as well as, all the same players in this scam...Deon Branch gets you signed up, Phyllis Bagwell claims to be sending you a check, Steven Michaels claims to be an attorney for the courts and collects from your clients using every threat under the sun! Same names...same scam...beware!
