I PURCHASED AUL WARRANTY FOR $1300 ON TOP OF THE PRICE OF MY CAR WHEN I PURCHASED IT FROM A SMALL DEALERSHIP IN EAST SIDE SAN DIEGO, CA. I HAD THE IMPRESSION THAT IT WOULD COVER ALL THAT THE BOOK STATED. MY CAR BLEW 2 HEAD GASKETS AND WHEN THE SHOP I TOOK IT TO TO REPAIR IT CALLED IT IN THEY STATED THAT THEY COVER THE HEADS BUT NOT THE HEAD GASKETS . CLAIM WAS DENIED. PRIOR TO THE HEAD GASKETS BLOWING, I NOTICED THAT MY CAR KEPT SAYING LOW COOLANT SO I CALLED IN THE CLAIM SO THAT I COULD HAVE IT CHECKED OUT . AT THAT TIME , I WAS TOLD THAT MY 1 YEAR / 12K WARRANTY HAD BEEN CANCELLED WITH NO FURTHER INFO. IT TOOK ONE MONTH TO GET IT REINSTATED AND AT THAT TIME I WAS TOLD THEY DONT COVER HEAD GASKETS. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS WARRANTY IF IT IS OFFERED WHEN PURCHASING A CAR. THE ONLY THING THEY EVER COVERED FOR $1300 WAS TOW.. RIP OFFFF

What Does Your Warranty Paperwork Say?

What does your warranty paperwork say? Did you read it? Apparently not, since you had to call the dealership and ask. Typically, wear type items are never covered in warranties. Gaskets are often considered a wear item. No, I don't work for them.
