I made an appointment to have my dog groomed and spoke with ken I specified how I wanted only a trim and that I did NOT want my dog shaved., I love the long shaggy look! I was told that the benefit of having their service was that they were in my driveway and could ask me before anything major was done and/or if they needed to show me anything and that they did not use cage dryers which would be less tramatic for my dog. The groomer Nat,came to my home. Again I explained explicitely that I did not want my dog shaved, that there may be a few knots but shouldnt be many, for I brush my dog daily. He assured me the dog would not be shaved. 2 hours later I went outside and he opened the door to the truck and my dog jumped out. She was SHAVED. I was stunned, he said she was matted and that she was not shaved that he left 2 inches. I paid the man 80 dollars cash gave him a 5 dollar off coupon and received no change. I was so upset I didnt realize he left without giving me my dogs collar. It took 6 phone calls to have the collar and tags returned.I was afraid to complain until the collar was returned. The dog is not only shaved but has numerous uneven spots on her. she looks like a rescue dog that was severely matted and needed to be shaved in clumps all over. The fact that he shaved her is one thing but no skill is another...... Anyone that knows me and my dog and knows that I maintain her. It was getting difficult so I wanted some of her hair trimmed. After I finally received my dogs collar I called to complain. Ken told me Nat said the dog was matted so badly she needed to be shaved, I reminded him of our conversation and how it was beneficial for them to be in my driveway should they need to speak with me. He told me this was his best groomer. I know that my dog was not matted. I have pictures before and after. I will need to let her grow a little and then have a professional groom her evenly. I believe the man did not want to do the work involved with washing brushing and blowing her dry and that shaving was an easier option. I also wonder what else was done to my pup because she hasnt been the same since the shave. The only way Ken took my call is when I blocked my number. The number is to a cell phone. I am so upset with myself for not checking into this commpany they have numerous complaints about them and have a grade of F from the better business bureau...definitely not surprised,
