Found a camper on cragislist, contacted a women named Elizabeth Williams, she used an email from a doctors web site. Elizabeth sent me copies of her drivers license and passport. Stated she had the camper stored at Auto Hangout Consignor in Amarillo Tx. Went through the buying process. Web site was active. Sent them 7,600.00. Email stated that deliver was delayed due to a family emergency. Waited for the next deliver date..... Still waiting. No answer when I call their phone numbers. No answer to any emails. Today the web site is no longer active. They got me. Web site looked real. It was a fake and i got scammed.
Hi,
First of all, I apologize for the late answer but I had a family emergency and just came back in town. Hope I'm not too late and you are still interested.
All the appliances are in working condition. Was never smoked in, very clean, lots of storage space inside and out. Clean interior, has no unpleasant odors of any kind (i.e.: pet, smoke, musty, etc.). Main floor doesn't show scuffs and blemishes. Carpet are in very good shape. There are no roof leaks of any kind. It is a clean camper, was well taken care of with no issue at all. All the service records and manuals are available. It has a clean and clear title, it's ready for a quick sale. Please check the link below to see the pictures, selling price, specifications and some more specific information: https://www.autohangout.com/inventory/STN553712/
The camper can be seen at the local AHC warehouse. I suppose you know AHC, it's Auto Hangout Consignor, the consignment service for vehicles and large items mostly.
I left the camper in their lot because we got a great deal on a different one and as keeping them both is not an option (also have to pay the other soon), have signed a consignment agreement with these guys for its sale.
To personally inspect or pick it up, simply contact AHC and request an appointment. Just provide them my name as seller and they will shortly provide further information.
In case you are not living in the area and want to have it shipped, due to the voucher that I have received for my membership (my past transactions), shipping up to 1000 miles is free of charge for you as a buyer (over, extra fees will apply, $1.15 per mile).
If you opt for this option, you have to go on their website and Register the purchase. The process is very easy and simple, just fill out the requested information on the page and, within maximum 24 hours, an invoice regarding the purchase will be issued to you. The invoice should contain detailed information about the transaction, like insurance, shipping process, bill of sale, payment instructions, etc., basically all you need to know about your purchase. That's the essentially online buying process, but I should also mention their Pre Delivery Inspection you get at delivery and their 7 Day Money Back Guarantee that follows, which costs nothing and should give you the chance and time to decide on the camper. The pre-delivery inspection will have an AHC representative on site who should answer your questions, show that everything works and sign the necessary delivery papers. My camper was even pre-inspected before being listed for sale and passed their inspection flawlessly.
That's all for now, but if you have any other questions, I'll be more then happy to assist. To end with, the entire purchase process is described step by step, on their HOW IT WORKS page. I am sure they do a better job explaining things than I do.
Thank you in advance! --

We got scammed by another individual using a different name but did use a email address from webmd and poised as a doctor. And used Pro Truck Sales as aid to seal the deal just like your AHC warehouse.

Same scam used by ProTruck Sales as consignee and guarantor
Verbage is even the same in the craigslist reply:
Hi,
First of all, I apologize for the late answer but I had a family emergency and just came back in town. Hope I'm not too late and you are still interested.
All options are in working order. There are no structural or electrical problems. The interior is in nice condition. No mechanical issues at all. She starts easily and restart easily all the day. There aren't any service indicators or warning lights on. All service records and owner manuals are available. Clean and clear title, no liens (ready for a quick sale). The boat can be seen at the local PTS warehouse. I suppose you know PTS, it's ProTruck Sales, the consignment service for vehicles and large items mostly.
I left the boat in their lot because we got a great deal on a different one and as keeping them both is not an option (also have to pay the other soon), have signed a consignment agreement with these guys for its sale.
To personally inspect or pick it up, simply contact PTS and request an appointment. Just provide them my name as seller and they will shortly provide further information.

Auto Hangout Consignor, Auto Sedge Consignor, Dewey Auto Consignor, Auto Demag Consignor

Auto Hangout Consignor, Auto Sedge Consignor, Dewey Auto Consignor, Auto Demag Consignor. Same scammer for over 5 years on the internet. All the glowing 5 star reviews should tell you something. Most are originated from India, and they use stolen IDs to make up many of them. What can I tell you, a fool will soon be parted with thier money. Why would anyone buy a large ticket item without SEEING IT. There are so many things they do to tell you that something is wrong, but that GREAT DEAL just can't be resisted. And why would anyone ship something 1000 miles and if you dont like it, pay for it to be returned. In the shipping industry thats $1000 to ship it and another $1000 to return it. WHAAAAAAAT!!!
These SCAMMERS are so brazen that they reply to a lot of information about them to whitewash the negative comments.

Too Bad
AUTHOR: coast - (United States)
SUBMITTED: Sunday, March 18, 2018
You chose to ignore the fraud warnings posted on craigslist:
• Do not extend payment to anyone you have not met in person.
• Beware offers involving shipping - deal with locals you can meet in person.
• Never wire funds (e.g. Western Union) - anyone who asks you to is a scammer.
• Transactions are between users only, no third party provides a "guarantee".
• Do not rent or purchase sight-unseen—that amazing "deal" may not exist.
The picture of the ID sent to you was probably fake or stolen. They never use their real name. It's easy to use a fake email address. Next time just flush the money and save the transaction fee.
