August 6 2007 I purchased a extended warranty policy for my car, price was $2,350.00 I made a down payment of $395.00 and remaining balance would be automatic payments from my checking of $162.92 for 12 months.

Two days later I started finding alot of negative reviews from customers and I decided this wasn't the company I should be useing. I called Ryan the Scheduling Manager (thats what his voice mails says and I've heard it alot)and told him due to remarks I had been reading about the company I no longer felt that I was working with a quality company and I felt it best to cancel the policy. Ryan informed me that they delt with thousands of customers and that the complaints I was reading were very minimal compared to the bussines they did. And to put my mind at ease about the company he would offer me a disscount of $550.00 This bringing the premium down to $1,800.00.

Ryan had been very kind and appreciative and was quite the sales person and against my better judgment I decided to keep the policy, after all I could cancel at any time for any reason and get a pro rated refund.

In May of 2008 I fell upon hard times as did many people because of the economy. I decided to cancel my policy and get refund to help me live on. I called and explained to Ryan that I needed the refund to live off. He then told me the policy offered 1 free month of coverage and that I should at least take advantage of it and cancel policy after free month was up. I told him that I was more concerned about receiving the refund because of the whole I was in. He kept it up and made it sound as if I would be very stupid not to take advantage of coverage for a free month. So I agreed, I made it very clear I wanted policy to end after free month was over and to send my refund. Ryan agreed to set it up.

Two months later I received notice that my warranty was being canceled due to lack of payment on policy. Well to make a long story short I've received a letter from them saying it takes 10 weeks to complete refund. I now have been waiting over 4 months I've been told checks in the mail or its still being processed. Ryan has never return even one of my phone calls and when I call I go directly to his voice mail. I can get no one to help me or even talk to me.

In the last week I have left messages all most every day some times twice a day with no return calls. When I call I tell them that I do not want his voice mail that I will hold how ever long it takes but they put me to the voice mail anyway. I've ask to speak to someone else because Ryan will not return my calls I'm told I have to talk to him and that he's the manager so no one else can help me.

Its clear to me that these peolpe have no intention of returning anything to me. I believe they think I will give up but they are dead wrong I've only just begun they will see what starts to happens next. How do people like this sleep at night or even live with themselves knowing they make a liveing by stealing from others. Get a real job.

Auto One Warranty Specialists - Ryan the Scheduling Manager

AUTHOR: Victim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, November 30, 2008

After fileing my report I did some research for other complaints on this company. I found alot of complaints with the same issues of not being able to get refund back on canceled policy, plus complaints that they wont pay for repairs. I had a 5 year contract with this company at the cost of $1,800.00. I paid down $395.00 and made 9 monthly payments of $82.62 a total of $1,138.00. 5 years equals 60 term months and when you divide that by $1,800 it comes to $30.00 per month. They didn't cancel my policy when I first ask them to so they got me for two extra months. 11 months times 30 is $330.00 and subtract that from what I have paid and it leaves a balance of $880.00.

I have a letter from this company stating I canceled my policy on July 19th 2008 and that it takes 10 weeks to complete the refund process it has now been 17 weeks. The way I see it at this point they will now need to add late fees that they owe me to the total amount due. I will keep everyone informed on what happens with this RIPOFF COMPANY.
