Auto Parts Warehouse - PartsBin Sends Wrong Parts & Won't Refund Your Money ripoff Carson California

I ordered a seatbelt from these guys in February. I was assured by their customer service rep that the seatbelt would fit my car. When the seatbelt arrived, it was quite obvious that it would not match my vehicle's seatbelt bolt holes. I called the auto parts warehouse and told them about the problem, and they said they would send me return instructions by email in a few days. The email never showed.

I called them again, and the customer service guy hung up on me. I called a third time and was told that they would send me a return shipping label in the mail and I should receive it within 2 weeks. The label never showed up. I then returned the seatbelt on my own dime, hoping at least to get a refund for the useless seatbelt. Once my return receipt for the seatbelt showed up, I called the company and asked when I would recieve my refund. They said they would put my refund on my credit card within 2 weeks. I waited, it never showed.

I called them again and again and again and kept getting the same story. I talked with several managers who began to swear that I would get my refund within 48 hours, but it still never showed up. By July, I was beyond fed up with their nonsense and no longer cared about the money. I was more concerned about the principle of the matter, so I called up my lawyer.

My lawyer agreed that their business practices equated to Internet fraud. He wrote them a letter telling them to refund my money or expect a law suit. And, presto, the money was refunded just like that. Strange how 5 months of me calling them didn't do what one carefully worded letter from a lawyer did. To me, that proved that Auto Parts Warehouse is not incompetant, they are just thieves trying to rip off as many people as possible.
