Are you looking to get scammed?  I originally purchased a convertible top from eBay under a seller named Diamond mall. I had the convertible top insalled by a BMW technician and within 2 weeks the window popped out from the vinyl.  Their ebay store states they have a 30 day money back guarantee and a 6 year warranty.  GOOD LUCK with that!  I contacted ebay and since it was past the 30 day mark, they said they couldn't help me.  I emailed them over and over and they didn't respond once!

So I had ebay send me the sellers information, which stated: D.D Auto Accessories, Inc in Chatsworth, CA.  It had a phone number listed as: (818) 280-3806.  Guess what?  This number belongs to DOMINOS PIZZA!

Then I started digging even more.  Come to find out D.D Auto Accessories, Inc and Diamondmall are really owned by a company called: http://www.autoberry.com/ - they obviously think we are too stupid to put it all together.  So basically they are selling inferior junk convertible tops under multiple names to cover their real website identity.  Well I'm letting the cat out of the bag...

If you are interested in purchasing a convertible top for your automobile DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS.

Here are the companies:

Ebay Diamondmall

D.D Auto Accessories, Inc - Chatsworth, CA

www.autoberry.com - Chatsworth, CA

Buy from a reputable source.  I was ripped off close to $300.  DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!

You've been warned.

Installer error, not defective product.

AUTHOR: Michael - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, July 16, 2017

I am an automotive master tech with 30+ years experience. And convertible tops is one of my specialties. I have installed 100+ tops. I have seen this happen to a top before. On a top that I installed. It was not a manufacturer defect. It was an error of miscalculating the tension of the top. It was installed to tightly. Very common mistake. Doing a top takes way more patience, care and thought than most techs realize. A little error can lead to very noticeable issues like wrinkles, waves and in this case seam failure. The installer did not consider that the top is going to get a little smaller when it shrinks. It was to tight so the window seam gave out. Autoberry is a seller of quality tops. I have bought many and never had an issue. You should've gone back to your installer to get satisfaction. Why should the manufacturer pay for someone else's mistake? My tip to convertible owners, Do not try and save money on a canvas replacement. If the person knows what they are doing and will stand behind their install it won't be cheap. But it only takes being off a 1/4" or less to make your top not sit right or look right. And never buy your own canvas. Let the installer buy it it's going to cost quite a bit more but it will look great or it's on them. If you take a steak to a restaurant and have them cook it you can't complain if it tastes like crap.

For what it's worth I bought a top from DiamondMall off ebay back in 2014 for my 1991 Mercury Capri. To this date the top still looks great. It was my first top purchase and install. I researched and studied thoroughly before taking on this task. I will say dealer technicians are certified in certain areas. One might be certified on the engines while one maybe transmissions. The installer mentioned might not had experience with auto body if he was an engine mechanic. If you don't follow procedures exactly you will have wrinkles or this case too tight. The top in many spots is glued or riveted to the car. Those are the critical areas where mistakes happen. To me it sounds like the installer stretched that corner too tight then when you close the top completely it stretches even tighter....rippppppp! If you went to the dealer you wouldn't be buying the top off ebay. Waiting past the 30 days is a personal problem. Ebay would have gladly helped. Are you sure you or your friend didn't do their first install and looking for a free top to correct your mistake? I was happy with my purchase and I'm super picky. I got here via google looking for top cables I now need.

Still Fighting this instead of fixing it!

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Monday, August 17, 2015

I find it hilarious and concerning that this guy says I'm extorting him when I purchased a product from him, it broke and I wanted a refund, and I'm extorting him?  Then he wants to fight it instead of making it right!  Do you really want to do business with someone like this?  What a scammer!

Bottom line is I contacted him several times via email and through eBay.  Which he initially dinied ownership of diamondmall, then I proved otherwise.  Then I threatened him, and even then I didn't get a response until I posted these complaints online.  This guy is a SCAMMER and a LIAR!

Here are the facts of this transaction:

1. I purchased a top from diamondmall on eBay.

2. I had it installed by a certified BMW technician.

3. Within 2 weeks of it installed the back window popped out (see pictures).

4. I contacted eBay to open a return.

5. eBay said they couldn't do anything because I was past my 30 days (it took 1 week for shipping and another 3 weeks to get it isntalled).

6. I contacted him several times via eBay - NO RESPONSE.

7. I requested the business information from eBay.

8. Called the phone number listed and it went to a DOMINOS PIZZA.

9. I googled the address and found www.autoberry.com had the exact same address.

10.  I emailed www.autoberry.com and asked for a refund or I'm going to post complaints online.

11. www.autoberry.com denied they were affiliated with diamondmall on eBay.

12. I found a distributor that supplies www.autoberry.com and they confirmed diamondmall and www.autoberry.com are the same company.

13. I sent this to www.autoberry.com and they still denied.

14. I started posting negative reviews online.

Now instead of fixing the problem this guy wants to fight it.  Do you really want to do business with someone like this?  He's already lied about his affiliation with his eBay store diamondmall, his phone number listed with eBay goes to a Dominos Pizza and they won't respond to emails, only when i'm forced to waste my time to write these complaints online.  I don't have time for this, but other consumers need to know how shady this guy is.

He can say I'm extorting him all he wants, and that would be true if i didn't buy a product from him that was faulty and request a refund and get no response.  Especially when he advertises a 30 day money back guarantee and a 6 year warranty.

This guy is a scam people...stay away!

Customer never contacted us with any problem, he opened a dispute with ebay instead, when he lost the dispute here is the email we got
I opened a case with ebay but it looks like I was past the 30 days. So here's the deal, if you decide not to return my money for the top I will hammer you online. I do internet marketing for a living, after I'm done with you, there will be so much bad press online that no one will buy your products. Here's what I'll do just to start: 1. Negative review on ebay 2. Negative blast to all the members on Rv3 and e30tech (I'm a moderator) 3. scam reports (yes plural, under several different names) 4. Pissedconsumer.com negative review 5. Consumeraffairs.com negative review Basically when anyone searches for you in google - they will see all my negative reports losing you an exponential amount of business. Trust me when I say this is one customer YOU BETTER take care of. You have 24 hours to respond and refund me or I will have my team start the process! - kgholdingsus
