Found their website, filled out a credit application and got a call back from a salesperson, Josh. Told him the type of truck I was looking for, he didn't have it in stock but said he would look for one. He called me back about a day later to say that he found something, told me about it and asked if I was interested. I said to go ahead and get me approved on the truck. He called me back once he had and told me the terms.

I hung with him, and thought about it some and then called him back to get the detailed specs on the truck about an hour later, and was told he was going to pick up the truck. He called me right back on his cell, I guess while driving and gave me the detailed specs. I then went and blue booked it to see if the price was fair. It was not -about 1500 over suggested retail value.

He called me as he was arriving to pick up the truck and I told him I thought their price was too high, and that I probably could not afford that. He said we can discount the price some, just come on down to the dealer. I was dubious. I felt like he was just going to try to hustle me into a truck payment I could not afford, regardless of my credit approval amount, and basically told him how much I was willing to pay.

He said that was what THEY were paying for the truck, that they could not go that low. These details are all pretty boring. What this complaint is really about is that a couple hours later I found another truck online, at a different dealer, exactly as I was hoping to find it, and at a price that was a few hundred under that suggested blue book retail price. I immeditately bought this truck.

I get a call back from Automatic Car Credit a couple hours later, just about closing time - not from Josh but from his sales 'manager'. He asked if I was going to come down and look at the truck, I said no, that I had already bought one elsewhere. He got very belligerent and said that I should pay his salesperson for his trouble.

Finding this completely ridiculous, I hung up on him. He called me back, this time yelling about me paying his salesperson for the trouble he went through and then called me an "f$#king dou**bag" and that I should come down to the dealer so he could 'kick my a$@".

Well, of course I told him I wasn't going to put up with this kind of crap, and that I was going to call the police. Which I have, and a report is now on file. I then called their sister dealership in Layton, Utah which ALSO has a complaint on here and informed them of what was going on.

This is not a way to run a business. It totally sounds like they've got some seriously immature people who aren't ready for the inherent rejection that comes with a career in sales.
