After placing an order on 4/23/2007 and paying an extra $66.00 for 2-5 buisiness day delivery (UPS 2nd day air) I called on 5/3/2007 to find out the status of my order and was told the parts had shipped that morning, but they did not have a tracking number yet. I called back on on 5/7/2007 and spoke with Art from AutoPartsGiant and found out that the parts have not even been shipped yet. He stated that if I did not pay extra for expidited service the processing time was 3-6 buisiness days. I stated it has already been 10 buisiness days and the 3-6 buisiness day policy is not listed on the website, it only says delivery in 2-5 buisiness days.

I then informed Art I want to cancel my order. Art stated that all he can do is put in the request to cancell the ordrer. After getting this information I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau also on the 7th. The report was delivered to Autopartsgiant on 5/9/2007. On 5/10/2007 Autopartsgiant.com responded to BBB that the funds would be refunded as soon as the order was cancelled, then rushed out and shipped the parts at 6:56 PM on the 10th (UPS closes at 7:00PM.) This is 3 days after I told them to cancel the order and 13 buisiness days after I paid for 2-5 day delivery! I recieved an e-mail from theautopartsstore.com on 5/11/2007 with a different invoice number, and this is how I found out they are doing business under another name to avoid the F rating they have from the BBB under theautopartsstore.com.

Now I have to wait and see if I am even going to get the right parts. Due to the deceptive practices I am finding out about this company I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission for them to investigate this firm. If you have been ripped off by this company, I suggest you file with them as well. With this company doing interstate business over the internet, the FTC has jurisdiction over this.
