AutoRodZ Consignment Scam consignment sale intermediary seeking to get buyers to issue wire transfer to purchase non-existence automobiles, boats, etc. Fresno California

AutoRodZ Consignment goes to extensive lengths to create what would appear to be a legitimate website, (autorodzconsignment.com), a variety of supporting websites to "verify" the legitimacy of the website, a toll free phone number for taking calls (although you can never talk to an actual person) - but all to no avail.   Autorodz is bogus.

I had registered to purchase an item via autorodz, and was presented with an invoice and bill of sale that requested that I do a wire transfer to a UK-based bank (Barclays Bank) for the purchase.

Knowing that this is a common fraud technique, I asked for a bank based in the US for the transaction.  After this request, autorodz came back with TD Bank (a Canadian bank, but at least they have a US presence).

This triggered me to investigate the website, domain name (it's registered via a Chinese firm and the IP address for the website appears to be in Russia.

Further research uncovered that they operated previously under a different name "Automondeconsignment.com", which had also been identified and flagged as illegitimate.   This website is an identical website to autorodzconsignment.com, with the other difference being the logo on the page.

Bottom line:   autorodzconsignment.com is a scam and should be avoided at all costs.
