i purchased a 1998 isuzu hombre about four months ago. i have taken it back to the dealership about 6 times for the same problem, it keeps blowing the courtesy light fuse.
they kept telling me that nothing was wrong with it. they would replace the fuse and keep my truck for a few days and it would not blow, but i would pick it up and the fuse would be blown the next time i go to use my truck after picking it up.
about the fourth time i took it back they replace all of the motors and activators for the 4 wheel drive system. That of course didn't fix the problem.
the next time they told me that they found a wire harness that was rubbed through and a couple of other shorts that went to my rear view mirror and dome light. this i thought fixed it because nothing happend for about 2 weeks.
I took it back again. They found 3 shorts above my headliner. A short to the rear view mirror (which i thought was fixed already)a short going to the mirrors in my visors, and one going to my dome light.
I picked my vehicle up and was checking it out and noticed that that the lights on the vanity mirrors in the visors were no longer working. I triede to find my advisor, but he left already and i needed my truck for the weekend so i took it. I called them back on Monday and tried to speak to the general manager ( had to leave a message). He had someone call me back on Thursday. Was told that they would discuss it and look into resolving the problem.
it is five days later and still no word. It has been like this every time i called. I would leave messages with no call backs. i had to go there in person every time to get an answers. I was always getting directed to someone else to talk to.
I understand that it is a used vehicle(only had 50,000 miles on it), but give me a break. I'm tired of paying for the same problem to get fixed. This last time was it. I am running out of ideas on how to resolve this. I don't want to have to put up with haveing this same problem in the future.
