Around Sept. 23, I ordered a trial sample of Avanti Skin Renewal & Avanti Eye Serum - was charged $4.95 & $5.95, plus .99 - respectively.  I received the actual product on Sept. 27.  There was no brochure or anything of that nature in package. In checking my bank account on October 11, there was an entry dated Oct. 10 for $89.97 for these products.  I contacted my bank USBank, to inquire about bogus charge.  Incidentally that charge made me card overdrawn.  Explained what had happened & bank representative said there were a lot of charges for items seemingly not ordered.

She indicated the bank had a dispute category and removed the charge.  She also cancelled that card and the bank is issusing a new card with a new number to prevent the Avanti company from making further charges.  She stated that the company was attempting to make an additional charge (apparently the $89.97 was for one item only), but the bank had refused that charge.  She suggested I contact the compay to see if they would refund the charge, although she did not think so.

I hope the bank reversed the payment to Avanti.

I called the 855 number shown on the Avanti box (the bank also had those numbers) and spoke with a very rude rep by the name of Brooke.  She informed me that those were not "samples" (which I was calling them), but a 30-day supply and that I had not cancelled the "account" (which she claims I established by having ordered the two items) within 15 days of setting up the account.  I argued about having to cancel an "account" (I didn't set up) before receiving the items.  

Argument went on for at least 10 minutes -- with her telling me I was not entitled to a refund!  Told her she had better issue a refund.  To no avail.  I didn't tell her bank reversed the charge.  So, as I said, I hope the bank reverses payment to them.

I seldom order onlinepro for anything, particularly items touted by "celebrities" but thought for a few dollars, to give it a try.  I notice that everything I see on TV always has a guarantee; apparently not these people.

Items were promoted by Drew Scott's fiancee (Ms. Phan) -- he is one of the Property Brothers on HGTV.  

From the comments made by "Brooke" telling me I was not entitled to a refund, I got the impression that I would be incurring additional charges from time to time unless I cancelled.  She did state that the account(s) were cancelled & gave me two cancellation numbers.  But I have never heard of setting up an "account" by ordering trial products & then incurring huge charges a few days later.

It is very hard to pull up their web page - but the one time I was able to do so in the last few days - there was a disclaimer that the FDA had not given approval to the products.

I am using them - so far no skin reactions, so I will continue to use them.  I have a feeling that nothing wonderul will occur; but I don't want any harm -- if that occurs, I will make further complaints.
