AVG Technologies CY Limited (Digital River element 5, Digital River, Inc.) is the popular anti-virus security software organization that is involved in deceptive trade practices. Their anti-virus software is not compatible with some computers yet AVG clearly states on their website that there is a 30-day money back guarantee on their product should a customer not be satisfied with the product or if it is incompatible.  On December 9, 2009, I purchased a 1 year subscription to the AVG Internet Security 1 computer anti-virus software and could not download the software, as it kept corrupting my files, locking up my computer.  After numerous attempts and going through their customer service to try to eliviate the problem, I gave up.  I submitted a request for a refund via email 2 days later as instructed by the company.  I have been back and forth with AVG, Digital River and element 5 regarding my refund many, many time.  Too many times to count!  It is now February 22, 2010 and I still have not received my refund.  The company is clearly involved in Deceptive Trade Practices and does not stand behind their product.  I am clearly a victim of theft!  I urge anyone who reads this message to stay away from this software.
