If only I could turn back the hands of time, then I would of researched more about University of Phoenix. I thought that online school would be perfect for me, the "advisors" talk a good game. I'll have to give them that much or maybe I was just a sucker. I attended the UOP or Axia online for a little over a year. The course that I started having problems in was a math class. Everything was so confusing and I called Sabrina (my motivational coach that Axia provides) my academic counselor to talk and I thought she might give me some great advice. Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. I told her that I didn't feel like I had learned anything the entire year I had been doing the online thing and this math course was very itimidating. I told her that I wanted to finish that 9 weeks then withdraw. Well to my surprise I was billed for those courses and I've been given excuse after excuse as to why. Now I have a 3rd party administrator calling telling me that I need to make 4 payments of $400. I told them that I was willing to pay but there was no way that I could do that. I'm a student. Then they advised me to get a payday loan??? What is that. And now I'm stuck paying another student loan for courses that I didn't learn anything in. If only I would of known then what I know now. Your Post Is Just Out Of Anger

AUTHOR: Advisor4you - ()

POSTED: Thursday, November 28, 2013

Another Post out of Anger. How is it the schools fault that you didnt take the time to dig into your schoolwork and learn anything? why is it that you are going to say you were intimidated by a math class that you knew you were going to take months before you took it and decided not to get any help through the center for mathematics excellence where you could take up to 2 3 week workshops getting you ready for algebra and all the other workshops they offer absolutely free for you to get up to speed with your math. Why are you not telling people that you decided to not attend the online learning teams and use the live help where you can get 1 on 1 help in all these areas? why are you not telling people the truth that you ended up taking a class didn't do well at it and then wanted a school to give it to you for free? another post that is using Lies and Slandering a University that lays everything on the table before you ever pay a single cent to the school. plus all your calls are recorded if you thought you were lied to you could easily ask for the calls to be replayed back or sent to you.

What the hell kind of advisor give you advice to get a payday loan? Go back and ask this genius if he or she would get a payday loan. I bet the answer is "NO".

I really just wanted to use this space to reply to reply to the rebuttal from the educated employee. Yes it's true I did drop out of Axia and no I didn't chose to finish my education online. You are entitled to you opinion even though it's a little biased considering you are an employee there. I didn't say I wanted a "free education." I'm currently in school working towards my bachelor's now and guess what it's not free and guess what else I don't suck at math. So thanks so much for all of your useful information.

#1 UPDATE Employee

You are a dropout.

Plain and simple you are a dropout. You want to use the time and resources of UOP for free. You suck at math so it's their fault. With so many campuses around you with tutors...24 hour online help, as well as your instructors late evening office hours, you chose not to do what it took to pass that class. You didn't learn anything because you quit. I challenge you to update this site with the name of one University that allows you to go for free. So basically, if you don't pass you don't have to pay? If you don't like you instructor... you don't have to pay? You should finish what you start!
