These people just sold my son a dangerous car that isn't even street legal. The windshield was broke. The blue book value is 1077. They sold it to us for 1875 and told us they were going to sell it for 3995 and we got a deal. My son was scared because he rode the bus and someone beat him up and he only had 1875 and he needed a car very badly to get to college.
These people completely ripped us off. Sold it for 1875 they fix the windshield and didn't but as soon as we drove off the lot the Check Engine light went on. We've given them a month to tell us what they will do, what it is, etc. We can't even sell this car to anyone and they lied and said there wasn't anything wrong with the car, it ran fine, it was just old.

I misspoke on the lemon law....

Here's what I found........ The lemon law actually only covers new cars.
Washington's Lemon Law does not cover used vehicles. However, there are several other types of laws that can be used to help you in the event you discover that you've bought a used car lemon. First, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has what's called the Used Car Rule that requires dealers to provide consumers with a Buyer's Guide with warranty and other types of information. If the dealer has in any way failed to abide by the FTC Used Car Rule, you may have the basis for a legal claim.
Second, each state has what are called Unfair and Deceptive Acts and Practices (UDAP) laws. If the dealer has, for example, made verbal promises or didn't tell you about issues relating to your used car, you may have a cause of action. Third, Washington's version of the Uniform Commercial Code may provide you with relief. Finally, the Truth in Lending Act and the Federal Odometer Act might also be valuable in obtaining lemon justice.
Once again good luck and God bless!

Hi I used to sell cars in Washington state worked at car lots almost went to work for B and B actually. One of the dealerships I worked for used to sell cars to B&B. So here's the deal the gentleman before me said the right thing you could have the cars inspected before you purchase great idea! Now in your case, First it's against the law for them to sell a vehicle with a safety issues such as your broken windshield! Secondly there's a lemon law in the state of Washington sounds to me like your car fits that. So this is what you do you first go to them and tell them you're going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with the attorney general in regards to the safety issue of the windshield and the lemon law of the car not running. If they don't immediately jump through hoops for you I will be surprised! So if they don't and that doesn't work follow-through make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Atty. Gen. I would assume the Atty. Gen. will probably recommend what you should do next but my next move would be small claims court. Hopefully won't come to that I know that would really be awful that doesn't help you right now but like I said if you threaten those two things they should start jumping through hoops for you. I hope that helps! Also don't be afraid to go to car dealerships just go with knowledge knowledge is power! Good luck and God bless!

Your son bought a used car from a used car dealer! sorry for your luck but, your bad, live and learn, dont ever, ever, ever buy a car from a car lot! they are there for one thing only, to make money! and if you do consider one off a car lot, take it to a reputal shop and have it inspected top and bottom, may cost you $75.00 to have this done but is worth it in the long run, make sure they do a compression check on the engine and a computer scan!
Again sorry for your luck, whats the cars condition now? I am a retired mechanic maybe I could help you in some way, if so email me back.
