I could not agree more with the previous person. We arranged to a a large covered patio on the rear of our house. At the time we arranged the deal with Rod's father - who was presented as the owner/operator. Needless to say we would NEVER, EVER recommend doing business with the son. While much of the construction done was done well the stone work (which was a significant portion of the job) was done completely incorrectly and was very shoddy. When we pursued the issue to get it resolved all we heard from Rod was how much he was upside down on the project but how he would do whatever it took to "make it right". We got the same story when they installed a fireplace rated for indoor use outside.

After multiple problems and many phone calls we got the fireplace working (but not as intented) and Rod refused to pull the oncorrect fireplace and place an outdoor fireplace instead. The two major issues we had were never "made right" and he has since slinked off to other projects. Dont walk away from this guy....RUN!

This report is not correct.

Mark & Melinda were not sure what they wanted until we had already completed an item & then they changed their minds- we re-did many of their changes at no cost to them.

We had the District Rep./Manager from Tejas Stone meet with Mark, Melinda & myself on the job to discuss the work performed. The customer chose the rock style & rock color that they wanted. Tejas said that the stone was put on as per their specs & was installed properly. Mark did not like how some of the stones were put on so we agreed to add a few smaller stones around his dislikes. Tejas said that the installation was within their guidelines & they would warranty the stone. FYI- We are one of the contractors that Tejas will refer out....We must be installing it as it was intended.

The other issue that Mark talked about was the fireplace. We had the owner of Chimney Sweep out to look at the fireplace. Mark references that it was not rated for outdoor use...the only difference in an outdoor use fireplace & an indoor fireplace unit is the ignitor box. They did install a fireplace with the ignitor box in it...but later un-installed the ignitor. The contract stated that we were to install a gas line for the fireplace- not an ignitor box. The job was completed as per the City Codes of Dallas & everything on the fireplace is code compliant.

Neighbors of Mark & Melinda commented on how beautiful the work was done. Mark & Melinda even referred us to a couple of friends.

We have contacted Mark upon finding out about this report but he has yet to return our call. Mark- you can contact us if you need anything else.

B&R will be seeking legal council regarding this report.
