I've read the complaints about B2B Marketing/Automotive. I'm hear to tell you that they are correct. Michelle Nelson is indeed a con-artist. Everything that has been said about her and her company is true. Except what Kaye Greenway stated. You don't have to lie for Michelle Kaye, you know and everyone else knows that she is a con. Michelle hires on interns and works them to the bone. She doesn't want to pay anyone and once she has used you for all your worth, she goes and hires more interns. Her whole company is basically ran by interns (FREE LABOR). I know personally of over 20 people that she went through while I worked there. She even did one of her so called best friends wrong and didn't want to pay her what was owed to her. Michelle Nelson is a ripoff and if I were anyone thinking of going to work with or for her, I would think again. This goes for those that want to do business with her as well. She will charge you an arm and a leg to do websites, social media, marketing are what ever the case my be and never complete the project to your liking. And also understand, that she does not no anything about Graphic and Web Design/Development. Again, she hires interns to all the work for her. Back 2 Basics Marketing and B2B Automotive are a joke. This lady has so many companies suing her it's not even funny. Don't wast your time with her or her company. I could tell you all types of stories about this woman and her business and non of them are good. Everything about this woman is fake, and she's been getting away with it for along time.

I had a slightly different but similar result with Michelle. Over a year ago I replied to one of her Craigslist ads looking for a designer. After a couple of in-person interviews, I agreed to a "test project" taking a Photoshop file and turning it into a Wordpress template. Hadn't really done it before but busted my butt to figure it out and made it happen, IN A TIMELY FASHION.

Upon the potential of being hiring on full time, I agreed to do a freelance project for her. Similar set-up, take a Photoshop file and turn it into a template this time for Joomla. Again, hadn't really done it before but with the exception of a slight design challenge that did not translate well from PSD to website structure, I made it happen. So I would say that project was about 90% completed.

These projects were completed with a great deal of time and lack of sleep. I didn't worry about my per hour time involved for what was suppose to be a mild $300, because I was far more focused on the opportunity. When I found out what she was willing to pay her new full time designer, I declined the offer. You know how much money I made for all the trouble? Not one dime...so don't talk to me about partial payments. My time apparently wasn't even worth that.

A completed website with the provided content, and my time to her was not even worth any amount of money at all. In fact, that same website has sat since then in a similar state. Clearly someone had tried to fix the same issue I had but got the same result in trying to make it work. It looked more like they had abandoned the entire project, along with any idea of paying me even the slightest amount of money for my time.

I am not at all surprised to hear that she had dealt other people in a similar fashion. I was not impressed with her actions, or more directly her lack of value for my work. Incidentally, I have kept all notes, emails, and screenshots of my interactions with her and this company. You never know when you'll have to defend yourself against people like this.

 I was disturbed when I read this report. I know exactly who wrote the report and I assure anyone who read this that there are two sides to every story. The person that made the report did not complete the work and therefore was only paid for the completed work. Also this person received other tangible goods that were worth well over what the person is claiming they were not paid. 

I have worked for Michelle for over 6 months now and I can say that while she may be demanding she DOES pay her employees on time every time. Just because an employer expects a lot from an employee, that does not make them a bad employer. Anyone that takes a position with any company, takes that position and accepts a wage. If you believe that the wage is not commensurate with the position after you have accepted it, quit. Plain and simple. There is no need to try and bash someone publicly for YOUR lack of judgment. 

My advice is grow up! In addtion to this, there was never a report filed with the labor bureau. The repor that was filed is completely one sided and false!
