Backyard Leisure of Concord, NC Poorly installed pool Concord North Carolina

My wife and I visited Backyard Leisure due to a pool company recommending them as their dealer. The salesperson was pleasant and over the next several weeks we arrived at a contract for installation.

They required me to act as the general contractor then would not work with me.

One crew came and dug the hole for installation.

Another crew installed the pool.

The pool ended up 4 to 6 inches higher than expected causing the patio builder all kinds of problems.

The installed light leaked forcing us to lower water we bought to correct.

Backyard Leisure promised to take care of the leak, never heard from them again.

Took 4 weeks to do a 3 day job

When pouring concrete collar around the pool, got it on the pool walls, two cars, and a patio.

After heavy rains backfill crew put mud as fill when pool company installation guide plainly states you cannot backfill with clay.

From start of project to when we could get in the pool was approximately two months.

On first swim we discovered sharp material between pool liner and pool wall, having the potential to puncture the liner.

We suspect they got concrete on the inside wall and never cleaned before putting the liner in.

What should have been done in a week start to finish is still not completed due to problems they created.

During all this seldom had calls returned form anyone but the salesperson.

Was frequently given information by installation crew or salesperson that owners changed without any notifications.

In several conversations we were lied to in order to placate us.

In hindsight we were idiots for using this company,

We recommend you go elsewhere to make a purchase of an inground pool.

They also have stores in Greensboro and Raleigh but are run by people who do not seem to know how to manage projects or install pools.
