I bought a vacation package which includes the following: 6 nights in Orlando; 2 nights in Fort Lauderdale and 2 nights cruise to the Bahamas.  According to the package, under the FAQs, specifically No. 26. What's included aboard the Bahamas Celebration? Your fare includes shipboard accommodations, ocean transportation, all port fees and service fees, government taxes, and all meals and entertainment on board .... this is written in the package that they sent to me.  Now, when I am making my bookings, they are still asking me to pay the Port Fees for the cruise.  2 of the customer service representative confirmed that I don't have to pay anything anymore as I have paid all already.  However, a certain Irma Medina from reservaciones@cclusa.com has called me and advised that the Port Fees is not included in the package.  She emailed me that non-payment of the Port Fess, the cruise booking will be cancelled. I have been making international calls to ask Bahamas Florida Vacation to fix the issue but nonetheless nothing is being fixed as of this reporting.

Update on my Initial Report

AUTHOR: Maria Luisa Carranza - ()

POSTED: Thursday, November 21, 2013

Although my complaint fell on deaf ears, I would still like to report the following incidents: 1. I ended up paying the "Port Fees" for the cruise just to ensure that my family can go into the cruise. I paid $279 for Port Fees and upgrade the accommodation from 'coach' to 'outside cabin' for additional $99. 2. Patrick, the promoter of Bahamas Florida Vacation totally ignored my complaint.  He sent me via email a Vacation Package that is different from the Vacation Package that is stated in my Online Package. The Emailed Vacation Package is

Your spectacular vacation itinerary and payment of $698.00USD includes:

7 days and 6 nights in magical Orlando, Florida - the ultimate destination with dozens of exciting Theme       parks including Disney, Universal Studios, SeaWorld and many other attractions; along with exceptional       shopping, golf, museums, parks and outdoor adventures including beaches on each coast just one hour away.

3 days and 2 nights in sun-kissed Ft. Lauderdale, Florida - the "Venice of America" with its miles of beautiful beaches and waterways. Enjoy great water sports, shopping, golf, and the pulsating night life.

3 day 2 night cruise to the Bahamas, aboard the luxurious Bahamas Celebration. Relax and enjoy fine dining, Las Vegas style live shows, Pubs and Clubs, a relaxing Spa, an invigorating Gym, Internet café, Beauty Salon, fun Children's programs, and a plush exciting Casino.

Whereas in my Online Package, this is what was stated:

Your spectacular vacation itinerary includes:

3 days and 2 nights in sun-kissed Ft. Lauderdale, Florida – the “Venice of America” with its miles of beautiful beaches and waterways. Enjoy great water sports, shopping, golf, and the pulsating nightlife.

7 days and 6 nights in magical Orlando, Florida - the ultimate destination with dozens of exciting Theme parks and attractions; along with exceptional shopping, golf, museums, parks and outdoor adventures.

Vacation Ownership presentation is required.

OPTIONAL CRUISE can be added for $149 per person based on double occupancy.

2 night cruise to the Bahamas, aboard the luxurious Bahamas Celebration. Relax and enjoy fine dining, Las Vegas style live shows, Pubs and Clubs, a relaxing Spa, an invigorating Gym, Internet café, Beauty Salon, fun Children’s programs, and a plush exciting Casino.

The Cruise became Optional in the Online Package which was Included as Standard in my Emailed Package.

The Ripoff on this Vacation Package is that American people will ring you and congratulate you for being picked up to avail of the luxurious package at a minimal cost .. in general you will be overwhelmed and will accept what they will offer over the phone and straight away pay via credit card as the promoter will be very quick in getting your credit card details.

A congratulatory email will be sent to you after the phone call conversation. The email itemized what is included in your purchased vacation package.  Now, because the email content is satisfactory, you will not go through details by details in the Online Vacation Package.  You will only find out that your vacation package does not include the cruise (because it is optional) when you are about to book the dates of your vacation.

Again, the biggest Ripoff is the cost of the so called PORT FEES.  Bahamas Florida Vacation acknowledged that the Cruise is included in my purchased vacation package when I faxed them a copy of my emailed vacation package, but still, I was asked to pay for the Port Fees even if the Port Fees is also included in the package I bought. They said that the Port Fees is mandated by the government and is only chargeable when the booking is to be made.

Now after searching, I found out that the cost of the Port Fees I paid is equivalent to the FULL PRICE for the CRUISE.  The cost for 3 Days and 2 Nights Bahamas  Cruise on board the Celebration Cruise Line for 2 people (outside cabin) is USD219 plus tax USD60.90. I paid USD378, Port Fees USD279 plus upgrade from coach to cabin of USD99, which is even dearer by USD98.10

I am writing this report to WARN the AUSTRALIANs and other Overseas people to be very careful in accepting offers straight away.
