 I joined Bailey's Gym when I lived in Jacksonville Florida over two years ago. In March 2014 I moved to Louisville Kentucky which is over 12 hour's away. I called them to cancel my membership and I was told that I was stuck in the contract until it expired. I am a highly educated person and knew there is always a way out, but didn't have the time to go through what ever process needed to try and cancel the membership and $20/month wasn't an issue. Fast forward about a year...my debit card expired and got a new expiration date and security code. They sent me a message saying I needed to update my billing information. I didn't respond.

After 3 months I saw a pending charge on my bank account so I called my bank to dispute the charge. The charge for $63 was credited back to my account. The next month they found a way to manipulate the system and charged me $93 dollars and a separate charge for $21. Finally I cancelled my card. I didn't do it before because I had other bill's coming out. These people are scammers, they don't care about people and are not in business for the right reasons. I am sharing this story to help others learn from my mistake. If you are going to join a gym don't join this place. Find a reputable company that cares about their customers. I was previously a customer of YMCA and never had these issues. It was more expensive, but much more customer friendly.
