Bait & Switch. Don't use Hotwire. Dishonest company. Shameful business practices Sold hotel that was shady and would not honor price set by company. Refuses on website per policy to refund charges. Dishonest business practices. Customer service inept in Phillipines Internet

 This website is shameful. I see several listings here online in the past year or so and yet Hotwire continues their dishonest business practices. I have been a long time customer of this company for over ten years, but now they have lost my business for good. I have called several times the call center in Philippines speaking to supervisor and other lower level individuals with no recourse as to getting my money back. I was in Atlantic City, shopping on a whim and decided to book a hotel room. I saw one in the middle of summer for $40 a night. Said it was near the strip area. Turned out I walked a long way to get there and it was nowhere that they promised. The hotel was the Knights In. It was a disgusting, shady place where the staff looked like Meth addicts. It was chaotic and the staff was extremely rude. They told me the price I paid was not enough for their run down place. I called hotwire and of course got nowhere. No refund. Nothing. And then of course their website says that they don't give refunds. How convenient. Only reason they do that is because something very shady is going on with this company. Needless to say I had to travel back to the city that night with no hotel room. It was an absolutely awful, horrendous experience. And I have spent probably close to an hour trying to get somewhere with the company to refund me something and they call the hotel who tells me they would honor it. It's just a cat and mouse run around game which is just so sick. Please someone take down this horrible website that is funneling people's money to offshore call centers.
