Purchased a brand new travel trailer from Ballantyne RV on 5/18 it became obvious that there were major issues within hours of picking it up.  From major electrical issues with both 110v and 12v to numerious broken fixtures and minor and severe water leaks.  Ballantyne refused to provide any type of meaningful service and spent most of their time avoiding their repsonsibility and our calls and e-mails. It is now Sept 7th, since our purchase in May we have had possession of our unit we are paying on for approximately 25 days.  Only 10 of the days were usable since it leaked so much it could not be used if there was a chance of rain.  Throughout this ordeal Ballantyne refused to advocate for us with the manufacturer, and just kept pushing it back to the warranty work.  

Finally after months of nothing happening they provied us with a loaner unit to utilize while ours was going back to the factory.  They picked up that unit a few days ago with no notice and are holding all or our personal belongings.  Basically they stole our property.  They are not reputable nore are they capable of fixing anything beyond putting air in a tire.

Their president Mark McMann was kept in the loop by several e-mails that he mainly ignored and now claims his people have provided outstanding customer service to us.  Making promises and then not fulfilling them must be a new defintion of outstanding customer service.

We have basically written off our personal belongings and forwarded the whole matter to our attorney for action.

With over thirty years in the business and 1,000 of satisfied customers I find out that any customer with working knowledge of the internet can spend more time complaining about your company than working with them. When we sell a new unit that has issues our manufacturers pay us to fix the issues. It is a part of business that we welcome eventhough you never want the consumer to have issues. In rare cases we need to send the unit back to the factory for repairs. This is the case in this issue. We gave the consumer a loaner for over a month. He has been asked to get his personal belongings out of our lonaer RV and refuses. In the time he has taken to complain they could have cleaned out their belongings and workied with us and the manufacturer. My sales manager went above and beyond the call of duty and our efforts go for not. We will continue to make sure their RV is repaired properly as we have done for over thirty years.
