Bank on IP solicited me by mail about a boutique service to market and potentially license my patent.
They informed me they could find investors that would take equity upon sale of the patent, however they wanted money and equity from me.
When I asked for references they said they would give them to me after they reviewed my product. They were not willing to release any references upon asking for them. When I told them I had no money to invest the calls stopped.
I suspect everyone would meet their criteria for evaluation just to get small sums of money ($6000-7000) per person.

SUBMITTED: Wednesday, July 04, 2018
Federal law requires various actions by patent promotion firms in order to protect inventors from fraud. The law also provides a public list of complaints about these firms on the US Patent Office Web Site and allows complaints to be filed. If you have been ripped off by one of these firms please file a complaint. See uspto.gov/patents-getting-started/using-legal-services/scam-prevention
