Here is my experience with Barmensen Labs, distributors of Maxoderm, Vivaxa and Vazomyne.

Some 3 to 4 years ago I ordered Maxoderm from this company. Their products are intended to enhance the sexual experience. When you order, they enroll you in their auto ship program. I received the product and after trying it once decided it was not for me. Maxoderm is a lotion you rub on your male member to enlarge it and enhance your sexual experience. The only problem is that the lotion smells like Ben-Gay, the pain relief rub.

I kept the original product but cancelled my auto ship with no problems. Barmensen Labs continued to call me and I finally asked them to put me on their do not call list. The calls stopped for 2 months, and then began again.

Last Thursday, I received another call from them and this time it was a female sales rep., who talked so low and fast she was extremely difficult to understand. She said they recognized there were problems with their old products and by way of an apology to their former customers, they would like to send me a free sample of their newly reformulated product. I agreed to receive a shipment of their FREE product.

On Friday, a charge showed up for $54.96 from them. I immediately called and reached a rude man in their Edison, NJ office who told me to send the product back. The only problem is, they sent the package to my old address, which I have been away from for 1 1/2 years. I have no way of getting the package to send back since I'm not near my old address. I explained this to the man but got no help.

Our conversation turned toward the ugly side, as I was irate at the company for charging me without my authorization to do so. As soon as I hung up the phone and checked my bank account (I used a debit card for my original transaction), I found that the company had charged me another $39.98, I guess to "punish" me for having a bad attitude.

I immediately called my bank and had that debit card cancelled and filed an affadavit stating I had not authorized the two charges to my account. My bank is going to refund me for the two charges plus the international mailing fees.

I am going to pursue further complaints with the BBB and the Attorney General of New Jersey.
