When we first recieved a bid from this company, the price for refinishing our bathtub and walls was around $4500,to which we promptly said,no,the price was way to high.Later that week, the company called back and said they would come to our house and give us a new bid. A nice salesman came to our house and showed us a demo model(small scale),of a bathtub and their tub refit kit that fits inside the bathtub.

The model of their refit was thick, acrylic resin type, very hard, and durable looking. It had a nice, quality appearance. The salesman then gave us a new bid of around $2100,and made us believe we were getting a really great deal, because they wanted to drum up some new buisines in the area. We agreed, and gave the salesman a $600 down payment to order the "custom" fitted tub that he said were made to order.

The service tech missed the appointment to come to our house and take measurements and didn't call us. After calling them,we got another day for the tech to come out and measure. After the tech took the measurements,he said he would place the order, and told us what day our tub would come in. A week after the tub was supposed to be in, I called them again to ask about the status of our tub.

They told us that they had the tub,and we scheduled an istallation date. When the tech arrived to do the installation,he had the wrong color, which made me wonder if these kits are "custom".Most shocking of all was the tub and enclosure material.

The wrong color tub and enclosure in the tech's truck was made of some type of thin, flexible, plastic looking material. It looked nothing like the thick, hard, unflexible material that the salesman showed us. To me this seems like fraud. We will have a few days to think about what we are going to do since the company will have to come out again with a tub in the color that we ordered.

Despite what the company "claims" never expect anyone to follow up.  If they do, it's a miracle.

Nine years ago we had Primax replace all of the doors, windows, siding, gutters, fascia and soffits.  Original bid was $37,000.  I told them I wont pay more than $21,000 which was probably too much anyway, but they agreed quickly.

The company, based in Decatur, IL at the time, sent out two workers everyday to St. Louis.  Decatur is pretty close to Indiana so their drive time was about two or three hours.  It took them seven months to complete this on a ranch style house no larger than 2,000 square feet.  There were all sorts of delays and excuses.  One of their excuses was that our siding was stuck in customs in Canada.  This was not true because it was manufactured in Chicago and drop shipped to their location or to the job site.

Doug Miles, whatever his actual title was at the time could not provide the results we were looking for and the only thing he could do was stare at my wifes breasts during conversation.  While their work was completed eventually, I still have a few issues that the company refuses to acknowledge.  Eight years ago I tried to get a door seal interlock replaced because the installer cut it two inches too short.  They brought out another, but that was over three feet too short.  We tried to get our gutters fixed because they leak like mad and this creates a hazard on our porch during the winter months.

Im not sure how much the company has changed in the past years, but from what Ive heard not much has happened to make improvements.  Avoid this company at all costs hire a local installer who works for himself.  Youll get better results in the end.
