Bathroom Crafters Shoddy workmanship; new drywall uneven; Gap between new drywall & newly installled cultured marble panels Lombard Illinois

Last January, I contracted with Bathroom Crafters to replace all existing drywall, remove existing floor & install a new shower door, shutoff valve for shower, new shower head and cultured marble panels in the shower. Upon completion, the drywall was uneven and the cultured marble panels had a gap ranging from 1/8" at the top to 1/4" at the bottom.

I called the owner to remedy the situation and the owner said that he would order custom trim to fill the gap in the cultured marble panels and would send an installer to fix the drywall. The installer came and sanded the walls. After I applied the primer, the walls were still uneven. I called Bathroom Crafters again and was advised that the panels were still on order and that the installer would come out again.

The installer came & applied additional drywall compound to the walls. He told me that I should wait 24 hours and then SAND THE WALLS MYSELF. I did so and the wall was still uneven. Since my son was working on the rest of the bathroom, he completed the drywall without my having to hassel again with Bathroom Crafters.

After several weeks of calling Bathroom Crafters regarding the cultured marble trim, I finally talked to the owner who said that the cultured marble trim could not be made because the 3/8" x 3/8" trim would break when being removed from the mold. I told the owner to see what else could be done to remedy the problem. I had to do my own leg work and finally was able to resolve the situation myself by getting some custom made granite trim. Although Bathroom Crafters did reimbujrse me, I would never recommend them for any type of job.
