Batteries America E.H. Yost Co. Claimed they were out of stock of item that I needed shipped overnight; wouldn't discount shipping charge. Middleton, Wisconsin

Ordered from Batteries America/E.H Yost Co. website on Wednesday afternoon 08-17-2011.  Requested overnight shipping at $69.95 extra.  Received a call from Mary with Batteries America the next day at 3:35 pm to inform me that they were out of stock but expected to receive more batteries on Friday. 

Mary then told me that since I requested overnight shipping I would receive my battery on Monday.  I told Mary that I had ordered the battery on Wednesday for Thursday delivery so why didn't I get a call before now?  She told me that they didn't see the order on their system until 10 or 11 and that's just the way things worked and she couldn't do anything about that.  I said, okay then I want the battery on Saturday.  Mary said no that would be an additional charge.  I then asked Mary about getting the battery at a discount since THEY were out of stock.

Mary said no, cannot discount, she couldn't do anything about that.

I told Mary that didn't make sense because nothing on the website told me that I had to place an order by a specific time OR that they were out of stock.  Mary said that's just the way things happened sometimes and there was nothing she could do about that.

I then asked Mary if there was a supervisor or someone else I could speak with.  She said NO.  I asked if there would be someone there tomorrow I could speak with.  She said NO.  I said, so nobody there can speak to me about receiving a discount on this or the websites lack of information?  Mary then said they're at a Trade Show.  At this point I lost my cool due to her cold/uncaring demeanor and told her to cancel the whole thing.

I immediately googled the 4-volt battery I needed and found another website that sold the battery at a better price (so I ordered more) and their shipping charges were even cheaper. 

Another customer lost to poor customer service.  Thanks for nothing, Mary!
