Friends of the Corpus Christi Community please keep away Bay Area Quick Care and especially a lady who works there named Cindy Malowitz. She is holding herself out to be a Doctor when in fact she is a Nurse Practitioner. Do not go there. She has no clue what she is doing and to top it off is a racist! She has helped hundreds of of people get addicted to Lortab, Norco and Oxycontin along with her accomplice who just happens to be a pain management doctor. Run for your life from this shady medical practice. When I went there they did not have proper wheel chair access and treated me a like a second class citizen becuase I am black and disabled. I am reporting them to my lawyer for Americans with Disablities violation as my rights have been violated.

#2 General Comment
False statement and uneducated comments

Bay Area Quick Care is considered one of the most respected clinics in Corpus Christi, having won the Best of the Best Award for Corpus Christi Clinics or seven years in a row. I am writing in response to a very negative report that was showing statements, flat-out lies, and unknowledgeable information about nurse practitioners. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I refer many patients to Ms. Malowitz and am confident in her abilities and competence.
Bay Area Quick Care serves many thousands of sick local and distant patients who respect the care of Cyndee Malowitz, FNP, who has never identified herself as a physician. NEVER. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner and she is very proud of her title. Further, Ms. Malowitz does not have prescriptive authority to prescribe any of the pain medication that she was accused of providing in the complaint. She simply does not prescribe them. She does not have the triplecate prescription pad necessary to prescribe that class of pain meds. A lie. Let's be clear.
Her collaborating physician is not a pain management physician. She collaborates legally with an Internal Medicine physician with her own practice and is very respected for what she has accomplished. There was absolutely not one single fact in the complaint article about Bay Area Quick Care and it is rather disheartening that people have so much time on their hands that they publish lies and may likely be sued for libel themselves. Please get your facts straight before writing complaints... all over the country. Interesting. Did you even come to corpus christi and see her? You dont live here.

Libelous comment

This comment was obviously posted by a competitor or someone consumed with hatred and jealousy. There are just too many nonfactual statements for this to be written by a disgruntled patient. I would never, ever discriminate against anyone and I'm furious that I'm being accused of doing so. My clinic has full wheelchair access for disabled people and has passed inspections, so this person has obviously never been to my clinic. I can't even legally prescribe LORTAB, NORCO or OxyContin, so that's a moot point. Furthermore, my collaborating physician is an internist and he's certainly not a pain management doctor (we REFER to pain management doctors). I am PROUD to be a nurse practitioner and I most definitely don't masquerade as a physician. I will be taking legal action immediately.
