I hired a so called BBB accredited business (ROOF HAWK). Then Roof Hawk did not install my roof properly. I complained to the company(Roof Hawk) , The BBB, and the manufacturer GAF roofing. The manufacturer also gave the company a certification. The Manufacturer agreed with me that my roof was installed completely wrong. They told me that my warranty was not voided but that my shingles were likely to break down because of improper installation.
The BBB never came to my property and looked at my roof.
The BBB continually wanted me to prove that my roof was improperly installed by email?
I sent the BBB the manufacturers specifications showing the proper way to install a roof. the pictures of my improperly installed shingles.
They still only wanted me to let Roof Hawk Rip-off roofer to come and now patch up my roof.
Then Richard Barnett from Rip-off Roof Hawk came to my home and agreed my roof was wrong. He then decided that since my warranty that had nothing to do with my improperly installed roof was ok that he had given me what I paid for. WOW Their motto is " Don't Get Nailed" Yes beware they will nail you!
Enclosed is the BBB response to my complaint and the decision to close my case without any resolution. Don't waste your time hiring a BBB accredited company it means nothing!
