I have had alot of problems Recently with the CBBB and the BBB. I was recently fired from Precision Garage Doors in Beltsville Maryland because I refused to go along with their scams. Their company and their many many alias are involved in a scam nationwide in 30 states.

I originally contacted the BBB of Washington, DC and Eastern PA on 5-6-02. I wanted to notify them of what the company was doing. At that time I had no idea this scam was so incredably big. My original complaint was filed with this BBB, because it's where the Precision I was employed at was located.

At this time, when I looked up their name on the BBB's national data base, there was no Precision Garage Doors in Maryland. I had to give them all the information I knew as to the address, owner, etc. I reported their inflation of prices, their various names (that was known at that time), harassment and threats that myself and wife have indured, and the specifics of how the scam works. I recieved a letter from this BBB post-marked 5-7-02. With this response, I recieved a copy of my complaint, which was altered.

The next day, they now listed this company on their national data base with a satisfactory rating in addition saying that they have had no complaints on this company. They had even the statrt of business incorrect, making it look like they were there longer than they really were. Their response on the above dated letter read, "After reviewing the information provided to us, it appears that your grievance does not fit within the normal scope of complaint activity we would process. The BBB does not process complaints related to landlord-tenant disbutes, labor or wage disputes, civil matter, etc., unless the complaints is a request for mediation or arbitration services." At the bottom of the page in someone handwritting is "Employee problem"

So, on 5-12-02, I e-mailed the CBBB and told them everything I knew as of that date. I asked them to further invistagate the situation and make consumers aware of this scam. On 5-13-02, I recieved a follow-up e-mail from their techhelp. They stated, "Please contact your local BBB."

At this point I was getting outragged, I didn't e-mail their techhelp but the CBBB. I replied again and again I stated the facts and I told them again that I had contacted my local BBB and that they would not do anything. That was replied on the same day. Then on 5-21-02 I finally recieved a e-mail from the CBBB. Funny, this is what their response stated, "The CBBB does not accept complaints against companies. We are the national office. Your local BBB is the one you need to file a complaint with."

Again, I replied and again told them the same things with the addition of new information I had, about my local BBB not helping, and that this is in fact national that is why they were being contacted. I told them that I had search every BBB and pulled reports like, satifactory and a member. Yet, the same report goes on to say, We have tried to contact this company for additional information but have not recieved a response.

I told them that I felt they were doing everything that they could to cover it up and not putting it in the reports and that if they did not do anything, I would refer them to a higher up government agency as to their handling of the situation. Wouldn't you know it, on 5-23-02, I recieved an e-mail from the CBBB that stated, "We will contact the Washington DC Bureau on your behalf. You will hear from them shortly."

I tell you what, either they don't know how to read or they are definatley covering this scam up. Over the past several days, I have notified every BBB in each of the states that this company is located in and old them the situation. I wanted to assure myself that I did everything I could in notifing the BBB's. So, I looked up the company I had worked for to see if maybe they had finally posted my complaint. And wouldn't you know it, they are now a new member of the Washington BBB.

So, I sent a e-mailed complaint on this office to the CBBB as the website instructs, and I asked for an explaination. I want to know how in the hell a scam company gets to be a member overnight. I immagine they bribed them with some money to be hush-hush about it. I told them that I now know that the BBB and CBBB are taking money to cover up scams. I also informed them that I would be taking these printouts to my Attorney General (which just happens to be a close friend of my families).

This organiztion is supposed to be their to help the consumer in making valuable decisions, yet how can the consumer make a logical decision based on lies and misrepresentation on the behalf of the BBB and CBBB.

I've personally had it. I hope that when I take this company out of business, I hope the BBB & CBBB goues down with them. They are no better but worse. They don't help people, they just make them alot worse off.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

Appearently, The BBB's information is not for everyone!

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Saturday, October 05, 2002

I went online to www.bbb.org web site. Amazingly enough, as soon as I tried to check out information on a company, I get a screen pop up that says, Halted session with my ISP listing. In others works, they have actually blocked my ISP from entering their site to look up business reliability information. It's quite amazing how they insist people have the right to look up their reliability reports, yet they block anyone taht has a problem with the way they conduct business.

Update* contining cover ups

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, July 02, 2002

At my last update, I informed you as to how LA's BBB handled a complaint. Well, since then, they fixed the complaint and put the right information I supplied down. Remember as before, they had NO information on the specific name and address I supplied. I went back over a week ago and looked the company up. The show up this time with the information, and state they're satisfactory and have had no complaints. I e-mailed them and said, Hello, I complained. I get an email back that states, it was closed on 6-11-02 (which was the date they fixed their error) and because I asked for no resolution it was closed. I wrote back. Appearently, someone can't read because I did state a resolution. I get another e-mail, this time they say it was closed because my husband was an employee. Amazing how no matter how many come backs to correct them, they always have a bull-crap one back as to why they're "Covering" their scam.

The other BBB's are still hiding behind the CBBB. We need to get rid of organizations like this, that thrive on screwing the little people for their own gain.

BBB knowing we've been threatened, gives others Precision companies & alliases our personal information.

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, June 18, 2002

I recieved a letter from the LABBB. As I updated before, someone had changed all the information we had sent in when filing the complaint to their BBB. They now put the information correct yet, sends a letter stating that this is beyond their scope of activities and will forward our complaint and information to this company so that the company can address our complaint with us personally. Now, I already told these BBB's that we have alot of police reports filed because Precision and their aliases have been harassing us and threatening us via phone. Apparently they don't give a d**n. I sent this BBB a reply e-mail and stated that I did not appreciate this and that if they can not do what is in their job to do, then I would have no other alturnative but to notify their lpcal govenment oraganization as to their handling of the situation and that they knowingly gave personal information that with increase threats and harassment. If they keep this up, maybe I will file a suit against the CBBB for their deliberate actions to decieve the public and take bribe moneys.

Update* BBB in CA changed ALL information to aide in cover up

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Monday, June 10, 2002

I recieved several letters from BBB's this weekend. On the first one from Cinncinatti, OH, The BBB sent a letter to one of the aliases of the company known as Garage Door Services, LLC. This company is a member of their BBB, how convient? The comany actually illeges that they've been in business since 1989, that the owner and partner are the only two employees, and that they have nothing to do with Precision or it's aliases. Funny, though, the bull crap they wrote is exactly what you'll find under the comanies information on www.accessdoors.com I looked over their website again and found many of the names asking for information, so I gave it to them. Strangely enough, I recieve a e-mail from their director of operations requesting the original e-mail, ect. She had no idea, that I even sent an e-mail notifing them of this scam. The worst part is, I told them that my family and myself have had nothing but harassments and threats and the woman that sent the company my e-mail also sent my personal information.

Then I recieved another letter. I was really baffled when it read Complaint against Precision Gas. ????? I looked over the complaint letter, looked back over what I had actually sent them in the complaint, well, someone went and changed EVERYTHING!!! The name, the address and the phone number where all changed. I went through their site and found that they had changed this to an name, address and phone number that didn't even exist. Now, I dare them to say they're not covering anything up. I sent a e-mail to their supervisor of complaints.

I will also be sending copies of all of this to the above agencies that are now involved. It seems that the CBBB and BBB's are so apt to dig themselves a grave.

UPDATE* More cover ups and the Maryland AG of more help

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Friday, June 07, 2002

I was sent a letter via e-mail from the Maryland Attorney Generals office, the man contacting me wants very much to speak with me personally. With more help from these agencies, I hope that now people will be able to see this company, the BBB's and the CBBB for what they really are.

One of the few BBB's that replied with concern to my complaints is in South Carolina. Upon looking through all my documentation on this company, the BBB's and CBBB, I found that the specific woman from that BBB had investigated this company before. I sent her a packet today of all the information I have that reflects her location. Unfortunately, she believes that the former investigation resulted in this business to close down. Not the case. They do what they always do, change the numbers, addresses, etc. I'm sure she will be of great help already being familiar with the situation. It's funny though, the CBBB still insists there isn't any problem. She also noted on the BBB report that they were using simular names of other companies. Again, why in the hell is the CBBB and other BBB so apt to cover their scam up?

Upon reviewing my up to date information I had actually found even more proof on their covering up this companies scam. Some of the Non Memebers and Unsatisfactory Members all of a sudden are new members (some dates falsified) with a Satisfactory rating. In fact on a few they actually have printed to contact this company and tell them the BBB sent you. I guess they get a nice little percentage when they help in their scam. Apparently, they are part of this scam. No matter how you look at, they are.

I'll keep consumers aware of the ongoings. Please don't be decieved.

*UPDATE American Chamber of Commerce to help and BBB's ignoring complaint

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Friday, May 31, 2002

After Mr. Berry's response, only 2 BBB's (out of 112) have contacted me with regards to wanting to investigate this companies scam. I have also got alot of e-mails from these BBB's that are very rude and telling me not to e-mail them ever again. So much for the BBB having to at least file these complaints.

So, I filed complaints with the AG of MD, the AG of Virgina (that's where the CBBB is located), the FTC, the Justice Departments Comsumer Division, the US Chamber of Commerce, and the American Chamber of Commerce. As of now, the Ag's of both VA and MD are investigating the company and the BBB/CBBB, and the American Chamber of Commerce is launching a full investigation of this companies scam, these BBB's and the CBBB. Now, someone is finally listening to the people. I will keep this report updated with any new developements.

CBBB sends a response to all BBB's after my e-mail to inform them of scam

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, May 29, 2002

Tonight I received a response e-mail by accident. This reply was sent to each and every BBB that I contacted to give this information too. The e-mail reads:

"Attention ALL!

BBB Midland requested confirmation on this email from Ron Berry at CBBB. Here is his response, forwarded by his request.

d**k

:::::::::::::::::::

d**k,

We did not instruct these people to contact all those Bureaus. They first contacted us about their complaint last week, and we told them to contact the local BBB (Washington DC). Washington turned them down, so they apparently decided on their own to contact all Bureaus where the company does business.

We filed a hot line complaint with the DC Bureau for turning down the complaint as an employee-employee dispute. It is still pending. We do not know whether there is any validity to these claims or whether he is just a disgruntled former employee. If they really have evidence to back up their claims, they need to submit it.

Ron

PS. d**k, could you cut and paste this response to the email you recieved and "respond to all," so all the Bureaus will get it? Thanks, that will save me alot of time addressing e-mails!"

end of e-mail

So, as you can see, there is definately some kind of cover up going on. How can my complaint be turned down, yet still pending? How can I submit evidence when they refuse to even acknowledge the scam. He needs to get his facts straight, I approached the CBBB several weeks ago, it wa slast week when I finally got a rebuttal. If I were "just a disgruntle former employee" why in the hell would I presist teh situation. All this jerk has to do is to look any of the information that I have provided and see for himself. But he refuses, so that tells me right there that he knows, and is covering it up.

Their website reads:

OUR MISSION is to promote and foster the highest ethical relationship between business and the public through voluntary self-regulation, consumer and business education, and service excellence.

Who are they kidding? Their mission should read: "We will screw anyone we can. We promote our excellence on taking money as bribes and covering up scams, so that we can make our money."

Really, what good is an organization that is supossed to help consumers, that refuses anyway? I now have the bull by the horn, so to speak, with these copies of the emails and the copies of their NEW membership status. So I will be speaking with Attorney General of Maryland tomorrow and we will see who is laughing last.
