I have been defrauded out of at least $199 by the companies discount book sale and BBV RebateGiant.com.  My credit card was charged $9.95 once or twice every month this year.  I may have been charged last year as well.  When I called to enquire about the charges I was told that when I purchased a book on line from discount book sales I was automatically enrolled in two memberships.  They said "they sent me an e-mail to inform me that they had enrolled me in the memberships but that they noticed I had deleted those e-mails."  I immediately canceled the bogus memberships and contacted my credit card company but the credit card company can only dispute the last 90 days of charges.
