You cannot trust anything that anyone from Beach Bound Auto says. They use EBAY to sell cars through misrepresentation and do nothing to make sure that the customer is satisfied. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!!!

My son worked all summer and bought a car from them which they claimed to be in A1 excellent shape. This was very far from the truth. They would not even give a 30 day warranty, but assured us that the car was in excellent shape. After delivering the car eight days after they promised due to "extenuating circumstances" and calling them over a dozen times without them calling us back my son drove off the lot with his car.

The next day we had to replace the headlights - not the bulb both entire lamps...A week later the windshield wipers...a week later the cv joint issue had to be replaced. Called Beach Bound, of course salesman not in. Left message...left several messages...no return call. Forty days into this the head gasket blows and the block cracks...Called several times...no return call..Drove up there and they acted like they did not know who I was. Promised to get back to me on a resolution...No return call. Called several more times and realized that they were just as I thought they were....dishonest. They give car salesmen a bad name.

Found that the block had been previously cracked and "patched". This is about as a dishonest practice as a car sales force can do. Selling a car over Ebay that the block has been cracked and patched is equal to theft. We have filed complaint with ebay and continue to try to rectify the situration with them, but they still fail to return calls.

I am done with them and am considering filing criminal charges against them. It's not about the money...it is about screwing over my son and I will not stand for that.

I don't see how this is a rip-off, really. You bought a used car from a dealer and signed paperwork stating you have no warranty (AS IS). If you wanted a warranty, even if they didn't offer one, you could have walked away from the deal or bought one from a third party. Like the guy said, if they tore every car apart looking for problems before they sold them, they'd be out of business or the car would cost $5000 extra for the trouble.

Here's how you avoid this in the future: If a warranty is that important to you, there are tons of organizations that sell used car warranties. Most dealers offer a limited warranty for used cars in case the transmission falls out as you're driving away. Alternately, buy cars from private parties where they know the full history of the vehicle they are selling you. This place probably got the vehicle from a wholesaler or auction about a week before they sold it to you -- how should they know everything that's wrong with the car? Of course they are going to tell you it's in good condition -- they are salespeople trying to make a living.

Next time, educate yourself before you go buying something that expensive and don't depend on a used car salesman to educate you.

Before you type you should really get your facts straight!!!

These people bought a 1996 Subaru Outback Wagon Limited from us. Prior to them purchasing the car on Ebay they sent a family member to look at the car. After the purchase of the car on ebay they were ready to pick it up. We took the car to get gas in it for delivery and it seem that the gas gauge did not work. So we sent it out to have it fixed at our cost and tune of almost 800 dollars. Now mind you they paid 2800 dollars for this car. So after we had the car fixed they came and picked it up. They signed all the necessary documents including the one that said AS IS and under that it said BUYER DECLINES WARRANTY OFFERED FOR SALE. So do not pull that BS with me about how we do not give you a warranty. There is no warranty the car was sold AS IS. When you came and picked the car up we always offer that if you do not want the car you do not buy it. Now for the fact of you calling us Liars: YOU NEED TO GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT BEFORE TYPING ALL THIS. The first time you went after us on ebay you said it was before 30 days then the second time you said after 30 days and now on here you are saying 40 days. Which one is it? Before, on, or after?? We buy and sell 100's 0f cars a month if we actually tore every car down to check and see of the block was cracked every used car dealership would be out of business. And the reason the block cracked was because you drove it and over heated it. Buddy I have been around cars all my life get real. You came to our dealer ship and demanded we pay you almost 3000 dollars for a new engine. HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY FOR THE CAR? And also you know our business ours 10-6 Monday through Friday and 10-3 on Saturday. I never once heard from you
