I signed a contract with Beacon Debt Solutions because I was drowning in a sea of credit card debt and did not want to file bankruptcy. This sounded like a good deal. In 36 months presumably I would be debt free. They promised to negotiate with my creditors and reduce my balances. I agreed to pay a monthly sum in which their fee took up most of the monthly payment. My creditors continued to harrass me at home and at work and they would not give me any details or proof of correspondence with any of my creditors. They randomly pick a number out of the air as to what they think your creditors may settle for and immediately start automatically withdrawing from your checking account. Then they do nothing. I wish I would have done research prior to signing a faxed contract. These people prey on desperate americans who are already in financial despair and make their situation even worse.
