When finishing my new pool in 2008 I was presented the Beadcrete finish as a more expensive option to traditional Marsite and Pebble Tec. I really like the uniqueness and look of the glass beads. I had designed a pretty unique pool and spent around 90k to that point wanted to compliment it with a unique finish. Due to the nature of the product I was told that I had to use a certified Beadcrete installer. I had called the distributor of Beadcrete National Pool Tile in Florida and the manufacturer Beadcrete USA in Arizona to find out who they recommended to best install their product. Both entities recommended this person named David. I was told he was the person responsible for training and certifying others to install Beadcrete. David who is the cousin of Bobby the owner of Beadcrete USA was sent down to Florida to train other installers to expand their product. The owner of Beadcrete USA personally came down to see my pool on several occasion when he was visiting florida for trade shows. He was really exited about having his product applied in my pool as it was pretty unique and asked if he could include my pool in his promotional brouchures. At a cost of $30,000 David the certified installer/trainer with his large crew applied the Beadcrete finish to my pool in the summer of 2008. Around the spring of 2010 I noticed a crack forming in the finish on the bottom of the pool, which over time got progressively worse. I notified the installer David who at the time had moved back to Arizona to work at the main office. He assured me that he would take care of it but wanted to wait until after the new year to come down to Florida and fix it. I have called and sent e-mails to the Owner Bobby and his sister Linda of Beadcrete USA to no avail. The pool contractor was able to get the distributors representative to come see the failing product and took samples to send to the mfg. The bottom of the pool is a disaster. You can see Huge plates of the Beadcrete finish that are as large as 8'x5' that have just lifted and separated from the pool floor. I have even started to notice cracks and pieces separating on some of the walls. Nobody seems to be responding to the problem hoping that the problem will go away on its own. Not sure what action to take at this point.

In 2007 I had a company Unique pebble install beadcrete in my pool, they told me it was the up coming thing in our area, which was a lie. From that point I had nothing but issue with it breaking apart. just a mess. I tried getting a hold of him chris to take responsibilty, which I figure. At the end of the my pool is ruin and the complete pool has to be replace which is going to cost upwards of $75,000.

Same problem with beadcrete

I have the same problem with my pool. The beadcrete is comming apart from the sement. It is coming apart like blocks of sand.. It was the more expensive option for my pool and the prettiest and the person that applied it was also certified. I don't know where to take the complaint to. I had inspected by a pool specialist and was told that it was applied correctly but that the way the material is desitengrating shows the poor quality of the product. My pool was done on 08/07/2009. almost 6 years ago..
