Bealls Department Store beallsflorida.com Refused to redeem more than one valid gift cards on a purchase. Internet

I received two $25 Bealls Department store gift cards last Christmas.  I tried to buy a pair of shoes on the www.beallsflorida.com website.  I shop at Bealls stores when I'm in Florida and via the Internet when home in New Jersey. 

During the check out process it would only take one card and forced me to use a Visa for the balance. 

I wanted to use both cards and pay the balance (the order was more than $50.00) with my Visa.  Not possible on that website.

When I called I was told I could only use one gift card per order.  In order to use both gift cards I would have to place two orders.

They said it was not possible to combine the two $25 cards into one $50 card so that I could use them on a single order.

This is not only just plain stupid, it's a rip off to take money for the gift cards and then require me to make two or more purchases to use the money they already have.
