BeatMixLA -Joe Jimenez - so called DJ- www.facebook.com/BeatMixLA Ruined my Daughter's Wedding ceremony Norwalk California

I hired Joe Jimenez AKA BeatMixLA because of his outgoing personality, he spoke spanish and because he said he had 13 years DJ experience.  He lied to me and said he had done tons of weddings over the years and even did a wedding at our wedding venue just weeks prior. 

I was thrilled. My daughter and fiance totally trusted my judgement and allowed me to hire him. I gave him a nice deposit 6 months before the wedding.

Two weeks prior to the wedding I sent him a wedding timeline begining with what time to set-up for the ceremony and all of the desired songs and when to play them. 

Two days before the wedding he and I went over the wedding timeline in great detail. We spent 2 hours finalizing every detail and song.

Day of  the Wedding.  Garden Ceremony was scheduled to start at 4:30 pm.  The wedding party was dressed and ready to go by 4:00. Guests were in their seats but there was no sign of a DJ.  At 4:40 pm I finally pulled away from greeting guests and I called him. He was still on the freeway and asked where should he exit.  My stomach then sank.

It was apparent he was not familiar with our venue at all.  He was asking me about the parking and where he should go upon his arrival. He didnt't apologize for running so late, he just started in with the excuses. He also had the nerve to ask if some of the groomsmen or guests could help him unload his equipment.  We refused. I was shocked that he did not have his own dolly or cart. Then he insisted that he needed a table to set up. He never mentioned it before and now he had us scambling to get him a table - all of this happened in front of our guests. 

When we should have been focusing on my daughter and her big moment - we were completely stressed and distracted with this joke of a DJ. 

As in most weddings there is an order of specific songs to be played for the processinal and for the escorting of the bride. He played the bride's song for the Maton of Honor and Flower girls. I was horrified and had to run to him during the ceremony and ask him to stop the song. That song was reserved for the Bride! Then he had to re-start the bridal song when the Bride entered. It was a mistake that should not have happened. Those details are important and he scewed it up BAD. 

He then went on to screw up the whole reception timeline.  He had everyone dancing on the dance floor and totlaly overlooked the Father /Daughter dance and the First Dance as Husband and wife. The whole night a relative and I had to stay on top of every mistake he made and work to fix it. I was the Mother of the Bride and he robbed me of my time to enjoy the ceremony and the reception because he was so unprofessional, so unprepeared and so inconsiderate. He even had the audacity to ask me for a plate of food after all that. 

I was angry beyond words but made every effort not to show it. Some guests even asked me , "where the heck did you find this guy?"  They said, if you needed a DJ you should have asked me. They recognized that he made major mistakes. 

Joe Jimenez aka BeatMixLA is an out-right liar and I was ripped off financially and emotionally. I only have one daughter and her wedding day has now passed and her wedding video will be the lasting memory of the horrible service Joe Jimenez provided.
