Beckers Tax Service Overcharging and Underdelivering Houston Texas

I would like to start by saying that I have been coming to Joe Becker for over 10 years. After a mix up with ours sons SSN early on, by one of his employees, we would not let any one but Joe do our taxes. We still to this day go to him for our taxes, even though we now live out of state.

I happened to come across this website by accident. After I read all of the allegations against Joe, I did my share of research. The sex offender information seems to be true in the fact that he is registered. But even if you date your girlfriend and she is too much younger that the man, you can be charged with some BS and have to register for the rest of your life. That is the case with Johnny Jackson, Texas Body Art. This could have happened to myself and my now husband if my mom really wanted to be a heifer. From what I read, those charges were over 10 years ago, and he completed probation with no problems. So, he paid his dues. As far as the newest court suit, from what I saw on all the court papers is: Wealthbuilder wanted to lease office space and not have to pay for it, they also wanted to by Joe's business and not pay for it. From what I know being 32 years of age is that you have to pay for things to get them. If you dont pay your rent you get kicked out. After reading the court papers, this is the case. Wealthbuilder is mad that the doors got locked after they decided to not pay their rent. Happens to the best of us, especially those of us who dont pay our bills. As far as Joe's license for being a CPA goes, he does NOT advertise that HE is a CPA. But like all of the Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC companies do: you have a master plumber, master electrician, and a master hvac man, a license that the whole company works under. Thats what makes them a licensed company and thats also what makes them able to pull permits and such with the city. After 10 years of review from my personal taxes, they have never been signed Joe Becker, CPA.

When you go to the DA's website you do not see any civil suit about a woman suing Joe for over a million dollars. In fact, if you pay attention, it says what type of lawsuits are filed, and when they are filed. People really need to download every piece of information that was filed to get the full story.

It sounds like the person that said Joe was running an illegal business in the Phillipeens, is a very disgruntled employee. Have you been to that country to know this for a fact? Unless you have proof that we can see online, dont talk about things like that. Remember?, believe none of what you hear and 1/2 of what you see. Is he running a sweat shop or something? Guess what? Nike does and people still buy their overpriced shoes.

The only negative things that I can say about Joe's office is that they are unorganized. They cant answer your questions when you call in. They all want to transfer you to Joe. Not only that but even when you make an appointment you have to wait for hours, even when its a ohone conference. I have never been audited by the IRS, and I feel like I dont pay an arm and a leg to have piece of mind about my taxes being done correctly.

Stop busting his balls, he's running a business. He came from a whole in the wall to a nice office in a nice part of town. Jealousy is not a good thing. Watch the movie Seven with Brad Pitt. Not only that but before people post things on the internet they should read ALL of the facts and put 2 and 2 together. Oh, and one more thing, I guess the person that started all of this has never made any mistaked in his/her life. We all have a past. Mine isnt pretty and it takes up several suitcases, but the past is the past. Get over it.

I will continue to go to Joe for my taxes. He knows my husband and I by name and thats just something that you dont get anymore. Your lucky to get someone on the phone that can speak english, or your even luckier to not lose your job to a mexican that isnt even an american citizen. Thats a whole different rebuttal though.

Case # 200340142 - Lawsuit brought against Joe Becker by the Texas State Bar for providing legal services when he is not an attorney. A Permanent Injunction was entered against Joe Becker in this case.

Case # 200808162 - Lawsuit for FRAUD brought by Moody National Bank against a client of Becker's Tax Service LP, Joseph C. Becker and Becker's Tax Service LP. Joe Becker produced fake financial statements for this client (you can get the name from the case documents) with inflated income. These financial statements were then given to Moody National Bank in connection with a loan sought by the client. Joe Becker was found guilty of fraud and a judgement was issued against Joseph Becker and Becker's Tax Service, LP for roughly $600,000 in this case.

Case # 200869017 - Lawsuit for FRAUD brought by a firm that attempted to purchase Joe Becker's business in 2007. This case is still pending in court.

You will clearly see that Mr. Joseph C. Becker's CPA license was Suspended in 1994 for "Discreditable Acts". You will also see that in 1999 his CPA license was permanently REVOKED for "Discreditable Acts". This man did not "voluntarily surrender" his license as he claims.

Please, please please...follow the above instructions to research this man and stay away from him! Tell everyone you know to stay away as well. He is nothing but a common criminal, pervert, thug, bully, liar and con-artist. We are not a CPA firm nor have we ever represented that we were such a CPA firm. We offer Professional quality Bookkeeping, Tax, and Finacial Servcies at an affordable price.

I did pass the CPA exam (1984) and the Enrolled Agent Exam (2005). Rather then fight the Texas State Board of Accountancy, I forfitted my CPA license in 2000. This has no bearing on Becker's Tax Servcie being able to perform quality affordable Bookkeeping, Tax, and Financail Servcie work. As stated before, we are not a CPA firm. Since being locked out of Beckers Tax Service he has solicited through mail, phone calls, false web postings, the clients and friends of me and Becker's Tax Service. Unlike Randall, we at Becker's Tax Service do not hide behind unknown or false names. We are proud to be here serving our friends and clients. Randall conned his way into Becker's Tax Service, when it was apparent that he was not an accountant and was a liar and a thief so we parted aways.
