Befoundjobs.com takes advantage of job seekers.
For a fee of $500 (advertised as a huge discount), Befoundjobs offers the service of sharing and implementing "secrets" of utilizing LinkedIn to increase one's LinkedIn visibility and be "sought after" by professional and company recruiters seeking candidates. There are two Befoundjobs "suggestions"that I and others feel actually are counter-productive.

1) LinkedIn has a section for reason(s) contacting the LinkedIn member. Befoundjobs' suggestion
is that the LinkedIn member includes "seeking career opportunities" as one of the reasons for contacting the member. From a great deal of "job seeking" research, the vast majority opinion it is not in the best interest of a job seeker blatantly advertising himself as seeking career opportunities. As this may seem counter-intuitive, it suggests that the LinkedIn member is either out of work or is desperate to leave his current position. The majority of job seeking advice is that both professional and company recruiters are looking forsuccessfulcandidates and unfortunately people out of work are viewed as being less successful.

2) Befoundjobs also suggests that if one is out of work, he should create a LinkedIn group where he is the founder and use a title such as Founder and Leader of Supply Chain Professionals Group As it is great to start a new group, having the job title and function of being the founder of a group usually does not get by the highly sophisticated recruiter that this person is hiding that he is out of work.

3) The only personal one-on-one service is a one hour discussion with a Befoundjobs job seeking coach who makes suggestions in how to improve the LinkedIn profile. I and others have found that these suggestions are at times detrimental to LinkedIn members profile. Many LinkedIn members have found with a little LinkedIn research through the Internet is enough to enhance ones profile and visibility.

My biggest complaint with Befoundjobs is that Befoundjobs contacts LinkedIn members and invites the members to a free webinar about the secrets of utilizing LinkedIn. The persuasive webinar can easily make one feel that the silver bullet has been found, but a high cost. The webinar jams four hours of information into a one hour presentation. Many people have shared that they have been set up to see Befoundjobs several wonderful suggestions as overwhelming and the time
commitment in following through with these suggestions are considerable. At this point, in closing the Webinar, Befoundjobs points out that its services that can do most of this work professionally for a fee of $500. This fee of $500 may seem reasonable, but for professionals that have been out of work for a number of months, even years and have become financially vulnerable and the $500 expense is relatively high with little or no return.

As in most challenging situations, secrets or techniques are not enough to overcome the obstacles of looking for a job in a highly competitive environment. As Befoundjobs provides customer testimonials, it does not from what I can see provide success rate statistics. Befoundjobs skillfully makes the LinkedIn member think that these secrets and techniques will provide an enormous competitive advantage.

Almost all job seeker advisors have come to a consensus that building a professional network is the most effective and efficient method of finding a job and the Befoundjobs service does not provide that advice. That advice can easily be found throughout the Internet at no expense.

Greig Wells EXPLOITED ME for my $497 LinkedInception REFUND!!! Now refuses to communicate - no working PHONE NUMBERS!!!

AUTHOR: PIH - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 02, 2019

If I had searched Greig Wells complaints, Greig Wells scam, Greig Wells ripoff BEFORE putting $497 with Greig I would not be typing this right now.

Red Flags:

1.  Many ripoff/scam/complaint posts from past 3yrs on a number of products = prolific conman

2.  Phone number not working - I did not confirm the number worked or not before purchase

3.  YT Video of Greig apparently in Vegas- about a minute long he looks BLITZED ie INEBRIATED in the short clip - it is still up - I would have questioned the professionalism to have a marketing video where one is clearly intoxicated

4.  Complaints on BBB- mnay UNANSWERED

5.  The RED FLAGS were 100% there in hindsight for whatever reasons I did not investigate Greig Wells enough and GOT SCAMMED, CONNED, RIPPED OFF for $497!!!  - And to top it off he doesn't even RESPOND to my BBB complaint mid march 2019!!

It's what you make of it

AUTHOR: Brian B. - ()

POSTED: Sunday, July 20, 2014

I participated in the free webinar a couple weeks ago; let me repeat this "Free webinar". Greg gave away free advice and suggestions that were based on his own experience, industry feedback and product knowledge. Your options were to listen to his advice and either apply all of it, part of it or ingnore it complertely.

Is some of his material canned? Probably. Did he give the sales pitch at the end about his services? Yes (I mean nothing is truly free). Were the claims of a "Deep discount" believeable? No, Hell he would be cutting his prices by 75% with all of the free services that he was adding in so I believe that it was similar to inflatig the price then discounting it....it's all about perceived value in marketing and sales.....which essentially is the business that he's in so let's just be aware of that and call it what it is.

I do dinstinctly recall him stating and reiterating that his services were for the LinkedIn profile as a whole. His disclaimer (again repeated multiple times) was that he has no control over who decides to hire or not hire you. He did provide written tesimonials of previous successes (fabricated? who knows) but he offered a service, again that you were under no obligation to purchase or participate in.

You hire a resume writing service to professionally write your resume and that in and of itself is dependent on your skills, education and experience; there is not a resume writing service that guarantees that you'll be hired.

In my case, I took the free advice and began doing some of the things that he suggested; I made some changes to my profile and I was getting results (not a job offer yet) but traffic to my page increased and that lead to a few promising interviews. I think his advice is at the very least, a step inthe right direction. I took what I needed from it and left the rest on the table that didn;t apply to me; my money stayed in my bank account.

There is a bit of excessive emails from him inviting you to take additional webinars, even though you've already taken the same ones but that's an easy fix with the Spam settigns or unsubcribing from the mailing list.

With regard to recourse, did you read the terms and conditions? Did you exhaust arbitration or seek relief through the legal channels? What happened to "Buyer Beware?" If you hire a landscaper to fix up your yard while yuo're trying to sell your home and the house doesn't sell, does that mean that it's the landscaper's fault? Hell no!! While curb appeal helps sell a home, you paid the landscaper for a service, which was provided and then payment was rendered.

Again, in my case, there were too many variables and unknowns to justify the expense. Other than that, the webinar was helpful and informative.

I'm ECSTATIC with BeFoundJobs.

AUTHOR: diamond.drln - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 19, 2012

I'm very saddened to see someone, of malice this severe, speak badly about a person and company that has helped so many people. I am one of, I'm sure, many satisfied customers that is appalled to find that a person (such as yourself) is able to speak so rudely of a person that has provided a service that, (let's be honest), you, I, and THOUSANDS of people couldn't have successfully accomplished on our own. I can, without a doubt, say that I'm proud to stand by BeFoundJobs, and Greig. He's not only given me my life back; he's given me hope for my SUCCESSFUL future.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

We did what we Promised

AUTHOR: Greig Wells - BeFoundJobs CEO - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, May 14, 2012

I can empathize with your frustration with having hired us to help you on LinkedIn and still not having found a job.

You hired us to do work on your behalf which we did.

So its really not fair of you to ask for a refund and post this review just because you still have not landed a job.

I can't make people hire you - I'm very upfront and do not promise anyone any specific results.

In the training webinar you attended I demonstrated all of the strategies we would implement on your behalf. You made the decision to hire us to do all of these things for you which we did.

Not all strategies work for everyone, and the merits of all strategies are open to debate. You made the decision to hire us to implement these strategies - I suspect it is likely this lack of accountability for your own decisions that is the true reason you are still out of work.

Based on your post I see you are the type to anonymously bad mouth others rather then work towards a win-win solution.

Had you brought your concerns to my attention I would have continued to try to help you and I would have given you your money back instead you chose this route which leaves you even more frustrated.

I am sincerely trying to help people.

You can read hundreds of reviews from satisfied customers at http://blog.befoundjobs.com

I welcome and encourage all feedback and communication.

Respectfully,
Greig Wells
